Building The CHEAPEST 1000HP Corvette ZR1 On The Planet!

After buying the cheapest C6 Corvette ZR1 I could find at $47k with over 100,000 Miles on it, things predictably get ROUGH during my quest for 1000hp… In this video we face our biggest challenge yet when things go south with my brand new built LS9 engine!

My chase for an 8 second pass in a C6 ZR1 Vette might be over before it gets started but we have no choice but to figure out a way around it and cross our fingers!

Have a salvage Corvette rebuild story of your own? Maybe you’re building your own 1000HP Z06 or ZR1? Put it in the comments!

  1. I'm sending a shirt to the first person that can timestamp the bit of audio I had to reshoot due to a failed mic! I'm ON camera talking to the camera, NOT behind it. There's your clue, good luck!

PS We'll never ask you to contact us on shady messaging platforms to "cLaIM YoUr WinnING PriZE"

  2. @scraplife garage How do charge for labor prices in these video's? It has to be cheaper being your location. In California, labor is $150 an hour for 1 person. You have a few pulling parts, filming, and taking pics of the parts to sell. I don't understand the prices you put for labor, $750-$1250.

  3. The real issue with magnesium is it is highly explosive. I mean technically if it was to drag across the ground in a wreck I don't know why things aren't catching fire more often.

  4. Man the broken bolt brought back memories of when I put headers on my challenger 5.7 hemi, broke a bolt, then an extractor. Ended up replacing the head. No Bueno
