  1. Just went through the 302 in project 91 GT I purchased last Fall. Glad I did cause bearings needed replacement and I found a sliver of metal in one. Ended up doing new rings and hone to be safe. Already had 0.030” over pistons. And cleaned the pump and pickup out as well… never want any loose shavings in there!

  2. I buy all the old performance motors i can afford … seems theres always useable parts in them … theres nothing wrong with having aftermarket parts floating around .. im finishing up on a 93lx that the engine is almost built on parts ive had laying around for atleast 10 years or longer .

  3. Unfortunately it happens more than you know or realize, people just don't want to either talk about it or admit that it happened to to ego or whatever reason they decide to use for not exposing the crooks.

  4. Hopefully you caught it quickly enough to salvage a bunch of it so it isn't a fortune in work and time. The parts today are not what they used to be.

  5. No way would i put flo-tec heads on my build, if im going through all that trouble which i am, im going to use a reputable head like trickflow i dont care what anyone says about flowtec

  6. The part about the stock lifter, a lot of people forget to put lifters in with the heads off and then can’t get them in when the heads are on. Trickflow have been under machining the lifter pockets for a good amount of time now and you can’t get them in.

  7. How do you feel about those Flotek heads? I have been thinking about getting a set for my build. Very similar to the one you just took apart. N/A motor
