We had to tear down our old 351w stock block 408 stroker motor. We have been having issues with it and they just got progressively worse!

Thanks for sharing what is possible it really inspires people
I hate checking compression. But I'm so happy when they all come out good.
Thanks for all helpful information, I'm very interested in this engine
A title like this will have legs. I think this video will get views over a long period of time.
* for people who care about how things work, a video like this isn't boring. I love this stuff.
Bottom End looks Great! I'm hesitant to say but, now would be the time to go solid cam/lifter and shaft rocker. Maximize your lift, based on your measurements, duration of 250+, and some 8k springs. She'd run out to 6 or more then. You do you Dan, I'm rooting for y'all to get in the 8s with this GT! I like the Morel 5436 Ultra Pro Solid .875s, and the Scorpion 3700 Shaft Rockers (10 different Ratios to choose from) for our heads. On mine, I retarded with the timing set to get the exhaust clearance I needed and upper RPMS. With the -19 cc pistons, zero deck and after the retard, I found that I made lot of room. Cam 242/249 dur .675/.691 lift 114 LSA. Thanks for all you do Dan, Cousin Paul and Fred, and Sandi!
Nice!! Maintaining any kind of mechanical device, is the life of it. We all hate to take the time to do it. Whether it be a lawnmower, or a all out race engine. Great video, and thanks for sharing all your knowledge. Always enjoy the content of your videos. Thanks Dan
What is the compression ratio on that motor
Awesome video man. Sucks you had problems but I'm glad it was not catastrophic. I'm collecting all the supporting mods to turbo my 93 gt this winter or spring. Been watching all your videos as well as a ton of others on here. You and Dula put out the best content. I learn something from every video. Keep up the content brother! Can't wait to see you back in action!
Glad to see, its not hurt!
I love it bro
Hello NEO Dan! This video is no where close to being boring! Could watch content like this all day! This how we learn, watching how the big dawgs do it. Watch, listen and learn. Thanks for sharing. Blessings from Motown.
What cylinder heads are on your mustang now? What brand rotating assembly do you have in that the car moves for what it is. I just picked up 2 351w f4te motors what do you think is better Molnar or k1
another great video after a day in the garage taking out the t5 for a malwood hyd set up, not I need a new booster as the studs where cut for install by PO and shifter had a broken spring. Glad to be wrenching. Keep up the great work.
Not to bad over all with what gets thrown at it
You've had this setup on the dyno? Pretty impressive on a stock block. Not the first time I've heard the 351 oem block live at that level though.
A big thumbs up, no major cylinder damage, good not to be bottom end problems, you will get
the white beast, back and better than ever!!
3yrs with pistons that clean? You got her dialed in well.
So Everything is still good?
Great video I like this kinda stuff always a chance to learn.
Awesome tear down. Steel gaskets are not as easy to read as the old school ones.
Great video! I was wondering if you got any plans to prevent future head gasket failures?
Good content, keep ‘em coming!
That jy block never had machine work amazing,
This is so helpfull . Im in the process of building a turbo 408 also
Awesome. Im in the process of having a stock block 410 built myself. It is nice to see inside. Do you have the 6.250 or 6.200 rods? H or I beam?
I'm impressed with the block. The stock blocks usually break between the cam journal and the crank journal creating a very nice triangle keepsake. Must have perfect balance. I went with a dart block on my 427w for a NA hp of 600+. I should probably build a 302 up and put that in the car to lighten the nose. Circle track dirt
