A good friend of mine has a super duty with this engine and it’s a monster we always talk about wanting to get one in a car. Can’t wait to see whatever it goes in but I would enjoy a mustang

Definitely would love to see the Godzilla in the mustang! I will say tho that the mt82 isn’t the best transmission. Should at least get a high end clutch for it.

It will be interesting to see how this project works out. As a heads up I work on ford trucks at a ford truck shop in Kentucky. I have had 4 7.3 gas motors come in all under 40k miles with lifter issues.
Ford has not said anything yet with a recall or tsb but we think it is due to them having to low of oil pressure at idle (all the trucks so far have been trucks that do idle for longer than normal aka uhaul service truck/rv/hot shots) causing the lifters to starve… just keep an eye on that as a heads up. If you don't idle long you should be fine. Good luck on the journey.
