Welcome back to Edmunds’ U-Drags, our series of down-and-back drag races that allow us to incorporate a standing quarter mile, handling and a rolling start all in one race! In this episode, we’ve got two ultra-powerful SUVs going head-to-head: the all-American Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat and the luxurious Audi RS Q8. Will American brute force prevail over sophisticated German engineering?

So which of these V8 brutes are you taking home? The hellacious Hellcat or the finely tuned Audi? Let us know in the comments.
The Audi in the second race did walk it
Isn't Power Per Ton a better metric?
The Durango costs 20% less today and will be worth 50% more in 10 years. I'd go with it.
That was fun to watch
Really cool fast and the furious style race. That was awesome
The durango is known to heat soak alot
These are actually some slow numbers for the Audi as well. 3.9 0-60 is quite high, and the 1/4 mile was almost half a second off most tested times I’ve seen.
Nurburgring champ RSQ8
For almost 50k less, I'd say this is a win for the Durango.
Where is the GTR!
I have a 2021 Hellcat Durango and launch it 0-60 in 3.4-3.5 all day in average DA… Also, I haven't ran less that an 11.7 in a quarter mile…. I suggest you set the launch control to a more feasible RPM. That truck running a 0-60 in 4.0 and a 12.0+ in the quarter is impossible. It's an automatic. My 8 year old son can run a quarter in under 12. Keep the launch control around 1800 RPM.
119 horses less and still faster…. You should take Q8RS Performance and see what would happen then …. Audi baby Audi all day every day
Love the races!! I think this show would benefit more if they did dyno pulls (3 minimum) to show real world power numbers. But definitely like the content so far, just want to see real world numbers where they count ( to the ground)
Drivers need to practice launching the Durango. It’s clearly the faster SUV but the drivers we’re holding it back. It’s a shame
They are both sports suvs if u complaining about heat then that just means the audi won cuz there's no way that a "sports" vehicle its done after the first try.
Dodge for me, no question.
Other than the Dodge has 20% more power and consume twice the gas and being the slower car … it question how US measure the power rating.
Both of you need to learn how to drive in the turns, both of you smash the brakes then at the apex mash the gas, a good driving school would fix that !! Watch the hood lines drop in the turn, then turn more and the hood drops again…
next up 23 Mustang GT vs 24 Mustang GT
I feel like this is a great way to determine the best two drivers as well haha.
1st off, the RS Q8 is a 5 seater, the S Q7 is the appropriate comparison. Sounds to me like a driver mod was all that was needed to have the Durango pull out both wins
Need drivers
audi lost race 1 by the driver's shitty reaction time
Nice win for the Dodge.
So a V8 with 100+ more horse power Could not beat a 4.0T German SUV. less is more here I guess.
Germany wins
Looks fake to be honest . Just a commercial in a different way
We now know who’s the better driver
Grab the prettier, stronger sister car. The Cayenne GT
No way that Audi only has 591
Hellcat
SRT for that noise, Audi for thAt Q car looks and smooth rumble.
Very disappointed the RS Q8 was not put into RS2 mode in this video. There are benefits over dynamic
Uh the guy in the red shirt can’t drive for shit….that’s the difference
Could care less how much power the Durango’s make, they are ugly looking as hell.
Temperature and braking played a decent part nice
