Damn !! This must have been a massive farm . I have never seen a farm with a Boiler Plant / building with one boiler , let alone three !! Wow ! There must be a massive fuel oil tank underground . Other than heating the house , maybe . What else were they for ?! All this accumulation laying around , had to be from several generations . Unless he did repair work for others cars and equipment , and these are old parts off those … Great video … WOW !!

What I really like is that you tell what the make and year of each vehicle is. A lot of guys shoot videos like this, miss some of the best cars and don't bother to tell you what the various cars are or the year. Typical of midwest farmers, who often were brutal on their cars and farm equipment. Being a good farmer is a time consuming business.
Never understood why people just let things just rot away . I mean even just the scap metal would probably be a significant amount of money. It really bugs me when they do it to cars. Not that any left there are any good but you see it quite a bit

Toolbox tools looked Ironworks. Tongs tossed red hot truss rivets. Three quarter in. Dia. I worked at Christopher's Steel. The old timers talked about tossing them length of trusses. Sometimes 60ft. Catch in a bucket and pound em in.

I think when they clear off these kinds of horded fields, whatever didnt sell should be offered free to us poor divorced old car affectionados left with nothing by the courts…. Then you can call the scrap metal guys…. Even if a few more cars were saved that way, its better than lost forever to the crusher.

That 52 Chevy I'm sure has turned over once by the look of the seats. Most car engines back then started burning a lot of oil, etc. around 90,000 mi. Instead of rebuilding the engine when they went, most of them went to the junk yard unless they were something special, or expensive, (Keepers) In 63' I bought a nice 54' Ford convert. with a flathead V/8 with low miles for a couple hundred, and got into a front end wreck. Instead of spending more for body repairs, and parts than I paid for it. I bought a nice 53 Ford Pickup with no motor. Pulled the car motor, put it in the P.U, and got about $17.00 for the convert. from the Junkie. Sure wish I had either one now!!

First off, the place is not abandoned, the electricity is on and someone is paying the bill. If I seem a little aggravated…….it's because I have a place sort of like this and its been broken into nine times……You either have permission to be there, or you want someone to shoot you. I like exploring places too, but you better have permission. Cause I'm sick and tired of people just coming onto my property and stealing what they want and breaking doors down. OK….I'm done now…..looking into that window, the equipment there on the bench is about a 1968 Sioux Valve grinding machine. Very nice machine….I've owned one for many years…..

Hasn't been abandoned that long, weren't those solar panels on the farm house roof.
So sad. I can only think of the people who have passed on and all of the ghostly memories on that beautiful farm..How their lives had meaning and purpose.

Would be fascinating to learn of the history of the place. If only those walls could talk – what stories they'd tell. I'd like to think the house would be saved and brought to life once again.
