This Poorman’s 351w Stroker Build IS A Forgotten Powerhouse 💪

Can't wait to see it all together. I'm hunting for a 351w block now, would like to build a 408, my 393 works good but it was in the car when I bought it and there are some issues with high compression as they chose the wrong pistons when they put it together, I do plan and reworking what I have but still want to build a fresh 408.
Been sitting here watching your old videos waiting for this one to come out. Sending my stuff off Monday to the machine shop. Going to be using the explorer 5.0 dampener and timing cover
Welp, you've got me inspired to get a 351W I found a 91 Short block on Craigslist for $250 picking it up hopefully this weekend I wanna see what this set up does so I don't spend 2300 on a 410 rotating assembly if I don't have too
I got a 95 roller long block. Set of rods already prepped. Have to get 302 pistons put on them, a crank, and find a machine shop to bore it and balance! That's the hard part! Machine shops are closing everywhere!
This is a cool build Im going to build one myself and put it in the dirty pickle the car im getting from tussin so that the car can live up to its name and going to throw a lil boost at it and see what it will do. What heads are u using ?
It's a good thing that you have a good relationship with your machine shop. I'm not too sure if mine would have the patience as yours does. Towards the end of the video he did not seem to be too happy. I do understand your point to try to educate us in a cheap build. I do have everything that you have submitted to us I guess I'm just going to have to throw it at my machine shop see what he says. Wish me luck
Hi, good good, I'm waiting for that monster, I want to see it working
Great stuff!! What head gasket are you running?
Wondering out loud. Would h-beam rods afford more critical clearance in those areas? Ok, video answered that…
What heads are u planning on using?
This is really good stuff, can't wait to see this motor come together. Love this kind of budget build, It's good to see that you have a great relationship with your machine shop.
I have a 331 getting ready to put some boost to it what head gaskets do you recommend
Awesome video! Thank you for the info on this build. Your videos have saved me a lot of headaches with my fox and got me into these cars.
Awesome budget project! Appreciate you showing us how to save money should we decide to build our own engine!
Can the 351 blocks handle more power than the 302s do? Thinking bout doing a 351 stroker N/A build on my 93
Been wanting to see one of these builds… wish somebody would post a video on setting up a stock 351w roller for roller rockers on E7TE/ gt40 heads for .560 lift XE274HR. Not that anybody is running those heads much anymore. Most have aluminum heads already. Not much info out there on this. Just want it to thump without pulling the rocker studs out of the heads.
Shit u can get a balanced forged i beam kit for 1100, bout the same u paid for all the clearancing and balancing, abd now u got stock crap
