3500.00 dollars just for lifters? Holy shit!!! Must be nice to have your money!
Maybe ford E350 rear rotors not sure when they went to rear disc but my 03 has them and bolt pattern is 8 on 6.5
My gf works at harbor freight she’ll hook yall up
Need a jeff lutz hood for the blazer
I believe 87 was the last year they used v belts
I would talk to a trailer manufacturer like Pj diamond c utility and great Dane to see if you can put a different axle set up underneath there so you don’t have these constant problems. Yes, I understand. It’s an odd set up because of the width of the tires and axles but honestly somebody has to have the answer.
It would be cool to be a pit guy for a day not even asking for pay.
Got that big Pete use Jake breaks more down shift.
I’d talk to big country. He has a different set up but he’s had his hands on all types of trucks and trailers. No it’s a long shot. Might be time to sell and upgrade to more semi trailer.
Can't wait to see Aiden's Chevelle. That thing is going to be a badass ride when done.
You should be able to get a 2.5" axle nut socket at NAPA or other parts stores that have specialty tools on the wall. Weve had to buy them to do axle nuts on our dump trucks at my work.
Lmfao Shawn be grumpy. You guys put out awesome content if you need race car money throw out a couple videos a week. Most people myself included would kill to have your YouTube presence and you could easily grow it
Boom!
GET THAT FOAM OFF THAT RED IRON, OR WE CAN'T BE FRIENDS.
Also there’s no way you should be going through brakes like that. I’ve gone 100k on electric over hydraulic brakes no problem. Something is wrong. Plus you should be mostly behind braking with that setup I don’t understand
Question about the brake rotors, could you use the rotor part off a 2 piece rotor system without the hat. Have a Happy New Year guys
Would it be better to get an upgrade/update axle with brake on them. I mean 11G for a brake job is outrageous. I would get monkey to help you change the axles.
Would you be able to slide semi axles under that trailer?
Is white paint lighter weight than black paint?
Check with Dexter trailer axles from the trailer parts outlet
send the rotors out and have them cryogenically frozen. should help out a lot.
Check out the air over hydro valve… to much psi is giving to much pressure at the calipers
The brakes on these trailers don't get enough air flow to cool down. I would look into cutting and fabbing in some side shops like a c8. This will solve your problems if you have room.
OUCH! Is this the Hemi that ya decided to run without oil pressure?? Yikes!
Maybe look into swapping over to air brakes like what's on the Pete maybe a pain to do but it would solve your brake issues
proportion valve on the trailer set to high?? maybe ur trailer is tryin to stop the hole rig vs just controling the trailer. engine brake on thag cat will also help prolong brake life too. best of luck
Thanks for sharing these. You don't know how much it is a blessing.
Look at greg Blevins has proline motor for sale
How about just running some ducting to direct fresh air onto the brakes like the NASCAR boys do on the cars
Better to spend the time figuring out exactly what it takes so you don’t have to modify it on the side of the road
Can you swap the trailer axles with something more modern/heavy duty?
Starting the vid you wonder who's the serial killer n the background?
Real surprised they didn’t use the double nut technique to get those studs out. Much easier and don’t chance messing up the threads. Guess that what you expect from “ not a mechanic” . Thanks for the vids. Can’t wait for next season.
Do they have composit rotors for the trailer
Shawn got that 20/20/20 vision
Would it be simpler to swap the axles to known brakes.
I'd look into a proportioning valve to apply less braking force to your trailer brakes.
If your Peterbilt is a manual transmission, does the engine brake not do 80% of your braking?
1/2 and a 13mm are the same
if anyone can do it… 187 Can!
Ford changed the bolt pattern in 99
So are they easier to work on when they fall off Iift or stay on Danny phantom…..also warmed up with a slight fire or no
Outstanding gentlemen great job!!!
Look into touring bus brakes they might be the same
Damn Damn Damn!!! Ouch Ouch and F-ing OUCH!! That sucks about the NPK block! Sometimes "ahh send it" just ain't worth it.
25 psi is 25 psi no matter if its air or hydraulic, an air system just uses air as the compressible fluid, meaning it can be compressed into a smaller volume when force is applied. liquids like hydraulic fluid cannot be compressed. That means air systems aren't as efficient as hydro systems.
