  1. It was the race heard around the world, and definitely not the way that anyone had imagined it would turn out. On to bigger and better things! Happy birthday, buddy!

  2. Good explanation Any! It sounded like it was loading up to me like a power valve or too tight of a converter. After watching your first run I thought Tony was in trouble. Then after the second run I thought about simplicity and consistency. Do you think Tony lifted? He's a crafty racer with a lot of street racing knowledge. Sorry about the problems you had but that's racing. You're a classy guy Andy!

  3. Something I learned when I was 15 and sneaking around in my old Super Bee on a hardship license……If you ain't ready, don't race for money! Man I love that Ford truck, that will scream when it all comes together.

  4. Andy I was pulling for you and when I seen the replay it was obvious your reaction time wasn't the problem. I look forward to the rematch and hope you have the time to get dialed in before because even with the 1200 pounds more you weigh you will win. That is a lot of money for a working man I hope you get the win but after that make it $500 and dinner please.

  5. When I watch the video I felt you was sleeping to at the light then I seen how slow it left the line and then all of the sudden it chased him down like it woke up even though it was to late that told me something wasn't working right but winning is winning congratulations Uncle Tony hope to see y'all do it again

  6. BEEN DOING BUDGET SBF S for years race preparation is one of the most important thing and having the time to do it understand the not wanting to turn it in to a race truck street is cool chalk it up to just bad timing on this race good video

  7. Long time since I studied physics but perhaps an uphill track is not good for a much heavier vehicle. UT seems to have a lot of street racing experience where he's going to look for every advantage including an uphill 660 foot home track in a light vehicle squirting who knows how much for only a bit over 7 seconds.

  8. Not to mention fatigue from driving hours to get there. We aren't 25 anymore.
BTW I like yours and UTG channels and not to forget DV.

  9. Andy – Never heard your story before about the intended purpose of this truck. Hats off to you sir! You've achieved the ultimate goal we all aspire to: To have a street legal road warrior that can kick butt on the track, and look and sound GREAT while doing it. Best of both worlds! Just hope you can get all the bugs worked out and keep it all together. No mean task when you're rockin' 700 HP! Just goes to show that old bumper sticker was right…"Drag racing SUCKS"!

  10. I think you'll beat him with a new torque converter, but that was like you said, just part of the race and honestly that was a really close but fair race. You can get the converter fixed, the 318 lived so might as well add a tiny bit more nitrous and go at it again just for fun next time. Love what both of you guys are doing.

  11. I'm not sure if I trust Tony 100% in his combination, Before the Race he said a lot of things that didn't end up being true, he said he was terrible on the light he cut a very good light. That engine { could} easily be a 408 with an overbore
    and a stroker crank.

  12. Whats going on with save the baby 318????
The only other thing i want to know.
I've asked on every channel and noone responds.
Not happening is very safe to assume. Only takes a day to put an enginge together its been months.

  13. I never would have raced truck vs that car 1/8 mile. Not with 5k on the line.
Cant stand tony but it shows he isnt stupid. Just lazy and never finishes anything he claims unless someone does a lot of it for him.
The turns on the ones that do.. Zero respect for people like him that use others for personal gain then throws them away.
Wheres the save the baby 318?
How long has he supposedly had parts for the jeep straight 6. And on and on and on.

  14. Just seemed like you didn't have enough time to get the truck sorted out. One trip to the track is for sure not enough to get a setup like that where it needs to be to pimp slap UTG.

  15. This isn’t a English grammar test so regardless if he said irregardless , I do admire the way Andy handed over $5000 without going mental about it. If I owned that beautiful 429 Ford engine featuring a pair of Greg Browns Ford Hammerhead HEMI Heads, I would have bet any amount of money, especially considering that Tony’s engine of choice is the 318 Chrysler. I mean, I can’t recall ever hearing about how someone got their ass handed to them by a 318. No matter how big the nitrous shot is, the 318 still has limitations that nitrous can’t compensate for.

Obviously on this particular run, Tony’s little 318 had what it takes to bring home the cash along with unlimited bragging rights. Since I’m a lifetime Ford enthusiast, I subscribe to Andy’s channel and in all fairness, I feel like Andy had way too many distractions before the race to focus on preparing Casper for serious competition.

I’ve used the punchline of “the sun got in my eyes” for telling lame jokes. When shit goes wrong, people can make excuses or have explanations for whatever might have occurred. The sun might have gotten in Andy’s eyes but I think the other reasons make more sense.

Both racers knew what they were up against going into the race. They conducted themselves like professionals and gentlemen after it was over.
HOW ABOUT A REMATCH, GUYS ?
