  1. Yep having a turbo going bad can make it smoke and pass oil through the turbo, i see it a lot on the
    diesel side, can't wait too see what the turbo looks like, especially the shaft where the seals are.

  2. I'm building a 347 currently, got all my parts except cam so far. Still have to disassemble engine and get block to machine shop. For bore, deck, and cam bearings. And a hot tank wash. And check the heads, I bought flotek 180cc aluminum heads. I'm going with the Ford f303 cam with a China turbo 64/64 and fic 525cc injectors. Plan to run boost about 15 psi max. Then I'll be worried on cracking the block around that power. Tearing down the engine tomorrow, I already pulled it out the car and it's on a stand. Hoping my machine shop can turn it around in a week or so.

  3. Upvoted immediately at the Radd intro. Love that movie. How far are you from Norwalk? Awesome drag racing event there towards the end of September. You should check it out! There were four or five fox bodies there last year.

  4. I have a twin turbo 54 cadillac I drive in a parade every year. Last year I rode the anti lag for 4 blocks or so. Toasted the turbo seals and broke a shaft in one on the drive home

  5. Love the Rad tie in for the intro… brings me way back to my early years! And it’s awesome to be near the lake… about 1/2 mile from the other Great Lake (St Clair) here. One difference valve seals will do when going bad is blow smoke only under high vacuum (idle) instead of all the time. Yours is probably smoking all the time when warm right?
