Lando Norris Warning to Mclaren. McLaren has had a very troublesome season, one in which they were in the fight with Alpine for P4 just because Alpine had lots of reliability issues. However, the situation between Norris and McLaren isn’t really in the best of shape now, as Lando continued to take shots towards his team. One huge factor that they struggled with is the budget cap, which Ricciardo’s contract had a massive influence on, and now that he is gone, the team could improve in that particular aspect! However, this is much easier said than done, and McLaren is due for some issues in 2023! McLaren struggled with brake overheating at the start of the 2022 season, which they were able to resolve in subsequent races. However, they struggled a lot with the 2022 regulations, and due to the presence of the budget cap, they weren’t able to introduce upgrades as they would have liked to. Nonetheless, Norris has accomplished something that no other driver outside of the top three teams has done: he has climbed the podium in 2022.

The car will never get any better, you had 2 good drivers tell them the same thing and point out that it needs a better front end, the drivers were ignored and the team have stuck with the same flawed philosophy, it would be interesting to see what Norris could do if he was in something better than an overpowered bus, which he would have to leave mclaren to do
Norris and Piastri will be fighting for 5th, 6th and 7th positions that's it.
Norrid was a bit hasty signing a 5 year deal (amateur) so now he has to live with it. Dumb ass.

IMO Lando is doing everything right. You don't want to spend your whole career with a team like Hass, Alfa, Aston or (sad to say) Williams but McLaren is definitely a team that can win championships. This team hopping leads nowhere look at Daniel. Changing teams has very rarely worked out in the past. Stick with Mclaren and wait for better times, be patient. And in the end, Mclaren is the team you want to become a world champion with if you want to be a legend, all the others are just cars 😉

This is why Daniel Ricciardo had so much trouble in the McLaren. The car was junk. period. Daniel was the scapegoat. I think the way for McLaren to get back to the top… Get rid of Zack Brown.
Even though Riccardo was shown up by the Brit , just goes 2 show that the McLaren is a Dog 2 drive . So Ricciardo getting out of there is an xcellent move career wise as well as $$$$
I don't know why this channel keeps putting out this narrative that the 'only reason that McLaren was fighting with Alpine'in the first place. A reliable vs fast car has always been a balancing act for all teams, and so has selecting driver line ups. Alpine had won the driver lineup bid but McLaren was the overall better team. Had Ocon or an equivalent sit in DR's place, McLaren would have beaten Alpine pretty damn easily, since they had a more reliable car.

Riccardo pay had nothing to do with the salary cap. The driver's pay is outside of the budget cap.

As an Australian it saddens me to think that Daniel has been such a burden on team McLaren, but it is obvious that is the case, Daniel patently was never quick enough and Lando made him look the imposter he obviously was, I just hope Oscar can justify his role within the team. Adrian Newey's expertize in getting front ends to work is legendary and it's up to Siedel to get another Newey (not that easy) meanwhile Daniel will go back to Red Bull and be made to look competitive again, Checo will be moved on, and Max will destroy the only driver who was truly competitive with him, that being Daniel. I'm not totally convinced Max is as good as everyone thinks he is, but he has had far and away the best handling car by a mile plus he is yet to have a "big one" and I hope he doesn't……but we will see how he handles it.
Daniel's salary has nothing whatsoever to do with McLarens issues of struggling under the budget cap. Driver salaries and not counted towards the budget cap, in any team.
