Considering how Mike is one of the only racer’s who uses Ford power.
You’d think Ford would show some love
Mike, just saw your trailer / RV tour. Your wife is a saint. give her some props for me. Thanks
So glad you are ok Mike!
need to be practicing getting out that fast …I practice that in my shop multiple times a week full gear before a race and also practice exiting both doors …need to get those reps in for that one time you need it
we ran a fuel car for decades and the pins come out of the bottles after the burnout… Guys go "well it is a fuel car" What I tell them, fire is cooler? car slows down from 200 slower? nope…. best fire suit, fire bottles money can buy.. worth every penny when the driver is not burned….. glad to see you alive… Might not kill you to lose a few pounds but it might kill you if you dont… FWIW I have and the car owner have both spent our time in pressure bandages….. sure sucks to get burned..
God Bless Mike and thanks Big County
Mr mike how can i buy two tee shirts from you 3x tall
I hope to see you back racing soon, Steve. >)
Thank god you are ok. Live to race another day.
When this came out, I counted 36 seconds from the time you came to a stop till Corey pulled you out. Then I tried to hold my breath for that length of time. No way I could do it. You are a lucky guy. And Corey is the man!
Mike, I've always enjoyed you and the crew and very thankful you are a Ford guy. Rebuild and we will follow you.
Sorry to see what happened to your mustang brother, glad your ok. You will rebuild the mustang and be back on the track in no time. Love the video.
glad you made it out of there with minimal injuries. hopefully it's a kick in the pants to everyone to recheck their fire safety equipment so what happened to you doesn't happen to them. EMT's were probably playing along with it when you told them your name was Steve. it wasn't uncommon for us to use alternate names for athlete's/celeb's where i worked as an EMT so that paparazzi's couldn't track them going to the hospital or hospital employee's that weren't working with the patient could leak information(happens way more then you think sadly).
Glad ur ok Mike I've been following you even before the TV stuff keep head up
Don’t know why people won’t use Fireslayer suppression systems . You don’t have any failsafe if you can’t find or remove a pin to enable your system .
These tubes react quickly ,
I have had them save several cars , and boats as well.
Only had used a single one thankfully, but worth it .
Come on people. Subscribe… Mike is a very likable guy..
To help with fire suppression ,could you mount thermocouples to the firewall and other areas that may see fire within the engine bay? Also I never realized the parachute bags were not heat resistant. Do the make bags that are? Hope to see you on the track soon ,I have enjoyed your post.
Glad You are okay dude. You are one of my fav racers.
OMG glad you made it out
Tim mcmamis said in a video If your on the track that fire handle pin should be out
Like, subscribe, and comment…absolutely. If I could do more, I would. Gotta back my fellow Ford racers.
Glad you got out and please everyone make sure fire systems are readt
Thank God you are ok
Car can be replaced or repaired but life can't, keep doing what you guys do and God bless you and your family's
That SUCK wow Steve lol
Watching Big Country refuse to give up and repeatedly put his face and body into that hideous hell of smoke and flames to drag you out brings me to tears. That's a good fukn man there. The dude is so humble but fuk that he's a hero and we all should hope he's around if we're ever in the flames. So glad your OK Mike.
Can’t be to bad of a day you were stuck in a fireball and walked away and your still alive.
3:39 shows it all. The car is burning, and the fuel cell is about to explode. The SwanGang all risked their lives in that smoke and fire to get his belts off and out of the seat. Why do I just KNOW they're going to STILL get crapped on?
Would you get rid of one of the pistons from the motor teardown?
Ive been a fan for a long time
for a top level series their track safety crews are not up to par to say the least. glad you are OK
Glade your ok Mike so sorry abut your car .
Been there major wrecks and all my friend picked up the pieces and got them home, for months I had to learn how to comprehend and put words in to sentences, we rebuilt and whent back to racing.
Take it easy your lungs need to heal. I watched you in omaha a couple years back when you stopped by.
What brand fire gloves were you wearing?
Glad to see you're doing good.. I'm a more and more everyday. Keep on keeping on!
Glad to see your ok. Cars can be replaced you can’t!! Thanks to Big Country too.
Damn brother glad you’re OK never was a big fan of big country but I sure am now That’s a brave man to go in and drag you out two thumbs up wish you all the best Mike love y’all
Ever since you had midwest adjust your ride for the streets I've been watching you glad to hear your fine. Keep racing your amazing.
