Great video and fine job you did on the Wing you sure got an nice bike for 200 $ I am impressed .
Bro, you have some HUGE bullfrogs where you live.
That is awesome, I love that blue gas hose, pretty slick. I’m amazed but I guess I shouldn’t be, this clearly isn’t your first rodeo.
That is a pretty good score man!Nice bike…my old man only ever bought and rode GW's…they are a Cadillac for sure…and those motors will last fo-eva!
2 Freakin hundred $$$$. Either you're too good a mechanic or you found a real lost jem. Good job my friend. Enjoy the ride.
What a Fantastic motorcycle bringing it back to life very good job
So whare is the warp core on that space ship?
Has to be among the one of the most intimidating things to restore.
It's good that you have been able to pull it apart and put it back together again to get it going but really it deserves a proper restoration. I had the chance many years ago to buy a cheap late 80's 1500 Goldwing and do it. Possibly the same model you got here. Unfortunately I was beaten to it by only a few minutes. Just as I arrived to pick it up it was going out on someone else's trailer. The bit that really pissed me off was the guy who got it only wanted to rip the motor out of it and use it in some sort of off road buggy and not do a restoration of the bike. Man I wanted to rip this guy apart for doing that to such a lovely Motorbike.
That was a serious project.. check that timing belt.. have no idea why you didnt get new tires when you had back off.. 20 year tires on a 1000lb machine…
Great job. Pity you are naive not to wear a helmet.
Great work!
a good product to treat the corrosion is ACF50
Its dangerous to rebuild something like this if you make a mistake could cost someone there life,i dont think putting a 40 year old rear tire back on is a good idea yikes
Future changes for this Gold Wing:
1. New tires
2. LED lights all around
3. Those missing trim pieces
4. Those crappy speakers
and new speakers for the love of it.
Dude you're an absolute legend for pulling this off. How long did it take you in total?
Well done. It’s. Been an interesting journey and I hope you fix it up the way you’d like it and enjoy the miles together.
