Ask your self what controls the governments as much as money now a days social media!
I'm taking all bets the track not going to be closed in anything under 5 years up to a 1,000 lets bet people!
I wonder if there'd be a way to get around the laws by notating it Bradenton track that is as a historical site
Better Call Saul!!
BMP has 3-5 years left unless the 4500 homes built were all bought by gear heads. I live 10min from BMP it’s sad.
Sounds like I need to be a politician with contractor friends
Nothing more corrupt than city council members, Garret is done there.
Garret needs to have his ass out in that field looking for an endangered species!
Set out stuff to attract protected animals or start seeding protected plants.
….sad part is crooked politicians are going to get paid off and the project will move foward
He should just sell then buy pbir, he already has the bleachers
Those are all racecar drivers it’s all good!!!
Cletus BuilD WaLL and have say deSantos Keeping car Reacing Great Again!
It’s just sad how the shut down these track as the they active
daytona track won't go anywhere
People are going to be in a world of hurt when street racing become more and more prominent because our racetracks are getting shutdown left and right. I kind of want it to happen so people can truly understand why we need our racetracks
I'd be shocked if that thing stayed open 5 years after they build those homes. I live in Lakeland we had a speedway a drag strip and a mud pit they're all gone now. It's frustrating to grow up and see more and more throughout the world or at least how the real world works it's always about the dollar. It's one thing soon as my kids are old enough I'll be leaving this state just so tired of looking at miles and miles and miles of strip malls circle k's and fucking houses that are 3 ft from each other and I really can't understand them greatness of it all it doesn't snow but that's about fucking it traffic sucks most of the people that are down here dick heads housing is ridiculous especially when you're buying a spec home that's built in 30 days it looks like a fucking piece of shit after 5 years stucco falling off drywalls all warped up, so on and so forth I just don't really see the love affair with this State anymore.
You're forgetting about the tourist factor. Me and my wife just spent about 1500$ on our weekend trip there for TRC Street kings on lodging, food, and souvenirs. And we are only 2 people. 1000s were at that event. Let's just say 5000. At 200$ spent per person give or take. That's 1,000,000. That tourist spent. How much taxes do they make on that? And that's just 1 event.
You get rid of that track, you kill the city. It is the only reason people travel there. It will be nothing but a retirement home.
Can't people figure out that mother nature does not want them down here. Go home Florida is full!
Yep its on borrowed time.
Just keep playing cars to they shut it down, then subdivide and develop the land. Use the money to by the next venue
The government needs to realize with these 4500 houses going in that when the hurricanes clear those houses out that it will cost way more than if it was still the freedom factory and BMP
The racing on 27 in Broward has definitely grown since the closing of West Palm. I live about a mile from it and hear it all the time now, more so than before!
3 million subs. Power of the people vs 4500 homes could get interesting
And the knuckle head city leadership wonders why street racing is on the rise in this country ?
Idiots,
Garrett & Victor (BMP) should definitely join forces and buy PBIR if that housing development gets passed.
Wrong on taxes bud.. New house here are almost 10k.. Add the cdd and hoa which wasn't mentioned
First time in Florida and I had this disappointing and boring drive on the way to the Freedom Factory. Fenced off cookie cutter houses for endless miles (Neverendingland Ranch Acres or some shit) that remind me of prison establishments. This is where old people go to retire and be happy? No thanks. Take your boring picket fence houses somewhere else and away from the race tracks.
Sucks Houston is Closing but that’s just a money thing. The plant buying it to expand I’d hate to see what they’re paying.
They wont close till people complain in the new houses. That means the land needs to be bought, built on and houses sold. That'll be at least 3 years from now. He still has time to cash grab and dip.
That whole area is already over built it’s crowded as fuck now
Forget the race tracks. They are building 2k, 3k 4k+ housing developments without upgrading the infrastructure. Osceola County is exploding with housing developments yet we still have 2 lane roads, Schools are at max capacity. 192 is impossible to get onto from a side street, and any turnpike exits are backed up 40+ mins. On top of that the county is receiving impact fees but not using the extra money to update the infrastructure. Its all corruption.
Unfortunately this will probably get approved and ultimately shut down BMP/FF. Everyone wants to move to Florida right now and county officials will take advantage of it.
4500 homes generating traffic everyday, state road 64 is crazy when there is a big race so.how much infrastructure will be required to handle 5000+ more cars in the area. At what point will greed stop and let some enjoyment continue ?
I'm still shocked sunshine is still open.
The best place to build a track is next to a airport.
If Garret has to lose his track, PBIR would be the smarter buy. Protected lands means no developers will come near it and this problem won't be an issue again.
It doesn't matter how you feel about a guy, seeing a guy lose his money is never a good feeling.
Thanks
The owner of the agro land also are against him they wanna sell, the owners that wanna sell are in favor of rezoning.
Say bye bye to those tracks. More money will come into the city from housing than drag racing tracks. Think about it, 4500 homes = more income tax, money spent on food, night life, etc.
