5:30 a quick way to get that upper shock bolt out is to put a deep well socket over thecstud and nut, then take the longest extension you have and bend it back and forth until the stud breaks off. I was a tech at a gm dealership and this was how we did it to beat flat rate time.

Great coverage. No major breakdowns. . I hate breaking down and have had AAA for many years. I have driven a STUDEBAKER street Rod for 20 years. Some people love the challenge of a breakdown and inconvenience and keep having them.

So the outside U-joint snap rings are probably a LOT better because you're absolutely 100% SURE they're in and locked, however the are a NIGHTMARE to get out sometimes, especially when you're on the SIDE OF THE ROAD or in a parking lot and you're under your brother's 89 OBS truck and when they manufactured the truck they used up whatever they had on the shelf at the GM assembly plant and you're stuck with 2 different sized joints on the same end. Yeah. Dealt with that once in the rain at 2 am. Fun stuff
