If you lose first round you’re out it makes no difference
If Ryan gets beat in a race he should get treated just like any other racer. No favoritism. He is gonna loose more rounds this year because the 141 pro chargers have been banned
Everybody is a stickler for the fuck and rules until it does not fit their fucking why are you thinking?
This show has tried to screw over Ryan in the past with adding new rules to hinder him. This show is starting to look more and more fake. If anybody ever beats Ryan at the championship in this show and it’s not extremely close all the way to the end then Discovery is forcing Ryan to lose. And NPK was a thing way before Discovery ever came around and it will still be here long after Discovery is gone.
The whole thing is BS. They should all be able to run whatever combination they want at whatever weight they want as long as it's a steel roof and quarter real car. All these rules to supposedly make things more competitive is stupid. The whole thing started to find out who is the fastest now we keep curbing everything so the slower can be faster which makes it so we will never know. It's turned into a sideshow of NHRA
You would think production would realize that people watch for the 405. Everyone else is just supporting cast. Nola and MSO got cancelled. It’s all about the 405!

Sim It’s just like every other drag racing event if you want a guarantee to see your favorite driver than you have to go on the first night. Whether it’s some form of qualifying or race your way in you start giving exemptions away that a whole new can of worms to deal with.
The thing you said that caught my attention was whether NPK is an event or a tv show vice versa.
I believe in the beginning they (Pilgrim) saw it as more of a spinoff tv show. Now that it has gained a following and more or less taken the lead, they see it as their golden goose and WANT to take it into a NHRA type of cash cow.
They could have prev champion provision to get in. maybe 3 times per year?
Everyone should race their way in. Thats how drag racing goes. Shaun should not be a captain, nothing against him but he cant even tune his own car.
It’s pure jealousy on other drivers and the production team against Ryan Martin. It’s like taking OJ’s knife away.
NPK is a joke and it is about time they aren’t making it easy for Ryan Martin.

Ryan Martin is the John Force of NPK PERIOD!!!! So I think they should let a champion be a champion and go down in the history books as the most winning NPK racer.
For years they have changed the rules for team nolas nitours fed motors. The people I’ve read bitchen about Ryan winning is, team Nola, nitrous fans mostly. Yet, people rave over Brady and yet this isn’t no different with Ryan dominating.
Like last year. It was talked about allot. Ryan had such a lead after all the major break downs, lizzy hitting him at stripe etc. Then all of sudden with 3 races to go. Ryan suddenly makes mistakes he never makes or made in 5 seasons and then Cry Kelly is down to one race of him. Cry asking his Nola racers to throw the event for him and then looses his shit lizzy beat him. Earn it I say, I don’t like the team thing. It’s to help get other drivers a chance of winning and noticed. Constantly changing the rules to hurt Ryan and pro chargers. Run what you bring and leave the drama in the producers room

This is the reason why a lot of people are not watching this bullshit show.
If they had "celebrity" drag racing, nobody's going to come to these events. They want to see drag racers, not movie stars. If you just put him in he has no credibility.
Early on NPK did make it almost impossible for new comers to run the invitational for fear of knocking out their "celebrity" racers. Everyone could see that and they were in danger of looking like the Harlem Globetrotter's of drag racing. Over the course of many decades plenty of top stars in drag racing have not made the show.
