  1. Ya so I’m a Holley sniper guy.. I’m a terminator x max guy. I was just wondering what the global timing box is for. I’m running the LS3 Terminator and was on the timing page. I’m just guessing it’s the maximum adjustment that can be made. So no need to tighten the max timing which reads +60 degrees.

  2. I have a Gen V LT build with a new Aeromotive A1000 pump and Aeromotive FPR. When I first got the engine running a few weeks ago the Holley was reading 74-75 PSI. I haven't touched anything and now it's reading 69-71 PSI. The weather is a little cooler now, is this a function of the temperature? Or is there a break-in period on some of the parts and I need to adjust the FPR?

  3. Joe, I think you hit the nail on the head, I assume people have problems with firmware updates because they have a splitter or two device plugged in. i.e., a laptop and the 2.5" display. It got me the not that long ago.

  4. When I update my dominator, even if i unplug the Holley dash, using usb to computer, the first attemp to update will crash. I unplug the ecu, plug it back it and it will work the second time. Done this many times now to not freak out anymore. But yeah it’s a issue I’ve dealt with.

  6. Hey Joe – can you talk a little about injector end angle on terminator X. Looks like all default in term X is -90, any benefit to playing with this for stock or near stock applications? Not a lot of info on this floating around. How does someone go about experimenting with this for best idle and fuel economy?

Got to remember huge price difference on mpi then sniper, then u got to wonder if ur injectors are supported by ecu, and all test show less hp with mpi, then u gotta hope u have the right size injector, so yeah for me living in maine, we're there isn't any tuners or dynos, u go with entry-level, like how these peps say mpi, they don't even tune there own shit so what do they really no

  8. On a methanol car with carter motorsports smart coils, is it possible the coils r causing inconsistent plug readings with a couple randomly being lean? I’ve had injectors cleaned and flowed multiple times

  9. For the next Q&A. Is the target afr table a multiplier or is the ve table a direct correlation to the target afr table? If I had the ve table tuned properly and made changes to the target afr table would i have to change the ve table also or is it just a multiplier like the factory ecus?

  10. think it's just the sales pitch of simplicity. unbolt carb, bolt on sniper.. "self learning/tuning"… and the pricepoint. everyone wants to spend as little as possible.

  11. I 100% agree with your statement regarding the Sniper vs port injection debate. However, Ive installed quite a few Sniper systems on muscle cars and cruisers and see the benefit of the Sniper. It looks like a carb, especially the Stealth series. Also, the 2bbl and 1 bbl options allowed me to get a customers car running 62000% better than the carbs that were previously used. keep up the good work Joe, you truly are a blessing for this industry. Tune The Trilogy classes are very well done, and Ive learned a bunch from them.
