Wheels Up On The Roadkill Grudge Car!

We are building a car for Roadkill Nights presented by Dodge. We start by picking up the Redeye Hemi from Szott Dodge to install in our 65 AFX. We also receive our fuel system components from Aeromotive! Can we get this done in time???

  1. I really love the old AFX cars my cousin had a 58 chevy set up like one the front Axl moved forward and the rearend moved forward and the motor pushed back in the firewall it had a 409 4 speed and a roll cage and he drove it on the street the car was the same color orange and had green tented windows with the name jungle book on the side with a Lil boy playing bongos….lol I think that was the first pro street car I seen back in the early 70s. He built the car when he first came home from Vietnam. It was a cool car.

  2. More last minute madness from Bailey racing ……lol.. EJ should have fun with this , Bob , not so much.. Ayden is getting funnier as time goes by and he relaxes more in front of the camera. I am looking forward to see this. Thanks for the video.

  3. Hate seeing that hemi pulled out of that perfect Mopar AFX Belvedere, but as long as a new Gen Redeye is going in so she can have a chance on winning I will cheer you on this year in Detroit!

Please, please, please restore the car to its original workings in the future. That car is a pc of drag racing back in the day history! (Talking about my childhood history here). Back when I was a mere drag racing fan entering the stands at Lions Drag Strip, Wilmington, CA, long before I began racing at O.C.I.R. in 1975. That was when a show of 64 Funny Car Fox Hunts on Saturday Nights was a regular occurance in So Cal with packed stands and standing room only crowds.

Bracket Racing with the Snake, Mongoose, and Raymond Beadle among a ton of others lined up in the staging lanes next to me was super special, as was the pre-race show of seeing the entire 1,320' drag strip with 32 Real Funny Cars diagonally lined up down both guardrails before 1st round. There was so much nitro methane in the air our nostrils were flared and itchy for 3 days following each event.

    Great times!
