I've always wanted a hey boat
I’ll be dipped!! I’m betting that rope was sucked into the impeller, they just kept trying to let her eat, and put the hammer down, causing it to seal itself off with mud and sand etc. so, the engine was sealed up tight.
Now that y'all ate all dem burritos you might want to leave the windows down. Great video. Thanks for the good laugh.
Kool build
CCR
ooh so great!! thanks =VH=
Do with it what you will, but I think the perfect name for the boat is “Anchor, Man”
Love the show and really look forward to seeing this boat come back from the dead
I think high Zinc content metal, freeze plug, spark plugs, pulley and starter acted as anodes and corroded helping to save the motor.
Boat on a trailer on a trailer! LOL
Bonter Kosaid Donko Sonjite Coverty is stealing your videos. nail his ass to the wall
Gbx that's my company name or green brier or gunderson brothers
Just a few chemtrails in the sky!
Nothing like having to trailer your trailer…
It's a Tahiti jet boat I'm sure of it
Hey guys, US191 here from Arizona. Donno if you have heard the whole story about that boat, but I know the owner and recall the stories from when it went down. He always told me how they would humorously say a little prayer to the "Gods of Worldly Mechanics" each time they passed over that point on future lake trips. Good to see it raised from the dead and perhaps one day returned to the water. And don't worry- I am quite certain he does NOT want it back! That was a long time ago, we were a lot younger and wilder then.
Thanks for sharing.

Why put a boat on a trailer, on a trailer?
A group of Lake Powell kayakers I belong to has been watching that boat slowly emerge for a couple of years. We found an old wallet with ID in a diaper bag that was under the bow, if you are interested in who the owner was let me know.
Found some ID in that boat last winter, if you are interested give me a shout.
My dudes! Cassette tapes are very simple devices. Rinse it out real good, FF/rewind it a couple times to loosen it up and that sucker will PLAY! Would be awesome to slap that in a deck and blast it on the first cruise! Rock on!
I love these Video's!! Golden Nugget – Yellow Submarine!!! So Good!! Make more!
JUsus CrUST! Is there anything he doesn't have in there???
this is a very short boat, very interesting hull
I found a boat on Market place that looks a lot like yours. Their boat is a "1976" Sleek Craft.
I would be willing to bet that was that boats first day on the water when it sank, they likely let off the throttle to fast and swamped the boat the problem I see is if water got into the wood frame of the boat it swells and cracks the fiberglass if it was new and didn't have any micro cracks for water to seep in that would be amazing
“DESTINY “ should be this boat’s name. It was destined to happen. Only you guys could have made this happen. What a surprise for the motor to start.
I want to see that baby today !!
GVX is TROPICAL SOLUTIONS USA, INC according to the USCG database.
I found a boat on Facebook market that looks just like that says it's a 1977 Tahiti super tiger I saved it and took a screen shot
years ago i saw blown up race blocks that had sat outside in snow rain for years, anywhere the synthetic oil soaked in did not corrode your boat might have had synthetic protecting even underwater.
Why did it sink?
It sank while being towed behind the houseboat on a family vacation back in the 90's. As I recall, waves had kicked up somewhat and the boat started swaying side to side. There is a "sweet spot" for rope length when being towed. The reason the boat was being towed was for water skiing and exploring outward from the houseboat once it was anchored. I believe it went down near mile 13. Anyhow- it probably had already be taking on water for some time and was getting heavy/low and eventually just got swamped from the side. It went down very fast. You would have to talk to Rob (the owner) for better details. He might have some old pictures… I donno, but I can ask him. Someone below commented on a diaper bag? It's possible since his daughters would have been about that age back then. I'll ask Cheyrl if she lost one.. but that was soooo long ago. And yes, we all still listen to Van Halen.
