Jamie from Officially Gassed wanted to race his DC2 Integra Type R against some other Honda’s. Olly got asked if he could bring along his pretty standard Honda S2000 to race against the DC2 as well as a Mapped Civic Type R EP3 and Jesse Collingham’s K Swapped EJ Civic Coupe. This is all down at the OG battles battleground runway. There was a roll race followed by drag races, all of which were a very close call for the other 3 racing. As Olly predicted, the S2000 in stock form cannot compete with the other cars due to the power delivery and long gearing. This should prove that it isn’t about the peak power that the car produces, but where the power starts coming in. In this battle of the VTEC, Olly loses out due to everyone else having it mapped in at a much lower point. Either way, it was a great experience to get to race the cars against each other and getting to chat to all the other owners from the other races that went on during the day. From BMW races to MK4 Supras and K swapped MR2’s the other races where great to watch, plus getting a ride in a Tesla for the first time was very interesting.

Huge shout out to Jamie for having me down for the day and for creating a platform for this type of content. Who knows, maybe one day I will be back with the Mapped EP3 or when the S2000 has the Supercharger!
