Man, sxsblog is putting this same engine and trans in a UTV and their build seem like its 100 times easier than Robs making this build. And Robs build is in a car where sxsblog is 100% custom 1 of 1 parts to make it fit in a UTV…. All these damn cartubers fabricating drama for clicks!
You mean +10mm offset it would hit?
There's an alien in the shop…OUT! OUT!
Hey Isaiah, on MIG welding, straight beads or weaving back and forth give 10x stronger welds every singe time compared to the tacks you're doing. That's not considered a structural weld anywhere in the industry, doesn't matter the metal thickness. It's also much more fun to be stacking dimes like you're doing TIG, keeping control of the puddle by whipping in and out of it. I love your TIG etiquette dude, you make art. But that's not MIG welding.
We now need a 4 rotor hellcat
The level of fearlessly doing whatever is necessary to make it all work here is truly impressive. Throwing money at bolt on parts is easy, but the thought and ingenuity on display here can't be bought.
As a certified MOPAR tech, I approve this build!!!!!!!
Erika does wear the trousers. Congratulations on finding a real lady Rob. All the best in the future.
This project is nice. And how the video has made, looking good
Having a solid understanding of engineering is Rob's strong suit.
Great to hear and see Ethan! Does all the non-sexy grunt work.
Yuup, that front-end is is based on a Mustang II…not fox.
Why do the child labourers keep changing? are they like interns?
BEARDED ROB! BEARDED ROB!
Gas Monkey Garage/ Fast n loud made this hellcat swap in a 70 challenger they were the first ones to do it
Also are you selling the old parts because im interested in some of it
THOSE ARE NOT FOX BODY SPINDLES. PROBABLY ARE MUST II. FOX BODY CARS ARE MACPHERSON STRUT.
first and foremost, i dont know shit about actually welding, but seeing Asaiah welding all those frame reinforcements in looks so awesome for that car, but given the age of all the metal he's welding into and it doesn't look too thick, how do you make sure that the old metal won't start to crack because of all the added structures that are way more rigid?
100% the best channel on youtube. the amount of stuff i have learned from rob, the amount of detail and work that goes into each and every video. some of the best welds and fabrication i have ever seen on any youtube builds. i’m addicted to the videos lol
Gotta hand it to Rob – This is a build with a hard deadline, but he's still doing filler wires in his harness for aesthetics.
It's funny that Dodge is still using the Mercedes pedal covers… I first saw them in 2004 in the SRT4 neons…
Really surprised to see a hellcat engine going in instead of a Tokyo drift style Rob Dahm rotary restomod! Still can't wait to see the finished product.
27:01 Literally every car guys comment after breaking a bolt…… hahahahaha
Hey Rob, when Dodge does hopefully send you one of the new Hurricane engines, how would you feel about potentially swapping one into an 80s Shelby Charger? Tons of people forget they are genuine Shelby products and they are dirt cheap!
Wow using them cheap pin crimper….
Mazda road pacer is a great next build for ya
