  1. Yep, that t totally makes sense. Do you run a driveshaft sensor (are you allowed to)? Thinking that would have shown the issue via higher engine RPM vs the driveshaft out the back. Glad you found that Jordan! Looking forward to you busting some a….! BTW Cars and Zebras (shows Factory Stock match ups) really through the s… in the fan. He posted a race featuring Dudek’s Cuda and a lot of his followers totally lost it. I loved it.

  2. Jordan, PTC in Muscle Shoals Alabama builds a great converter. Might be worth a call to see what they can do for you. Ask to speak to Kenny Ford, the company owner. He’s a super nice guy and really knows his stuff. Hope you get it figured out soon.

  3. Holy cow that's a huge gain. I never realized how important the right converter was until I got my transmission rebuilt. The converter he set me up with the motor just blew through it. I contacted Hughes and what they sent totally changed the car. I'm sure you'll get it figured out and I can't wait to see some time slips. Might check on what the Vette with the iron motor has in it.

  4. Such a BAD ASS car……….if only you could get it worked out. Everybody knows a chassis, or even better, a hub dyno is such a useful tool in the shop………but these tests ON THE TRACK prove yet again that even a hub dyno is NOT the "end all-be all" for how a car and it's parts are going to perform at the track. Andy at youtube ch: Unity Motor Sports Garage posted a video a while back proving how they put better parts AND a better transmission in their little Mustang that according to the chassis dyno, made quite a bit more power…….but with repeated testing at the track, IT SLOWED THE CAR DOWN. So they put the old parts & transmission back in the thing making less power, and sure enough, the ET's got quicker. This shit has GOT to be frustrating as all hell. The only thing to do is keep trying.

  5. looking forward to learning what you figure out thanks for sharing! glad you didn’t park the camaro for the rest of the season. i was afraid you were going to walk away from it for a bit.

  6. I just put my 427 on the dyno yesterday it's 60 over 10.5 to 1 pump gas motor with afr265 oval port heads and a small howards hydraulic roller that is 235×241@50 duration and 618 lift I was shocked when it made 661 horse power with 605 ft lbs torque not to bad for a simple daily driver motor on pump gas.its going in my 88 monte carlo SS I love your videos thanks your friend from Louisiana Rick 427

  7. The converter is the most important part in a drag car withh a automatic transmission that is why all youŕ top racers spend most of their testing trying different converters i have seen bracket racers speñd days swapping converters trying to find the perfect one they are looking for and once they find one they really like they guard them like the holy grail.

  8. Does the Corvette IRS help with traction, absorbing some of the torque to reduce wheel spin? Whereas the solid Camaro axle transfers the torque to the wheel more, causing more wheel spin?

  9. Thank you for sharing all the cool videos and information! I have liked the F.A.S.T. drag idea since it first came out. I will never be able to afford all the cool cars and parts it takes to run like you do but with your generosity I am able to see what it's really like. Thank you very much!!

  10. Doesn’t need more power. Drivable then go out and drive it. Can’t use more than 300hp on street. Fk tuning car for drag strip.

Drive it, stop tuning. How about taking hot rods on 800 mile trips. There you go. Content. Good content.

Not more “this car has 60000 horsepower” bs.

  11. It sounds like your timing is coming in very abrupt like 26-38 degrees in .2 seconds, do you have a way to control it or is it done with springs in the distributor with centrifugal advance?
