VMP, Firebird Raceway, Bandimere, Tulsa

On to VMP- started out behind, nothing going right, I was down a crew guy because of work related things. A fan just passing by seen me and Bob struggling to get everything done, he offered to help… me and Bob always tell people thank you, but we will get it. This time we decided to take up the offer. Craig jumped right in and got to work. He was one heck of a worker who showed up at the right time.
We tried a different tune up it’s my motor in it.. didn’t go as planned. Then to Idaho- about 50 miles from the track my truck blew up.. had to wait at a truck stop for hours to get my truck and loaded trailer hauled to the track. Rolled into the track at about 3am Friday morning, unloaded the car and trailer by myself, slept about an hour and got up to go get the boys from the airport. We made a test/grudge pass and the transmission started acting up, so out the transmission came and we got to work. 1. Truck motor broke. 2. Transmission broke. 3. Generator broke. But guess what?!? We still went a couple of rounds on Saturday.
Then to Bandimere, the air is tough there, but we got a test/grudge pass in and was ready.
Then to Tulsa, the home track for the 405. Had all my boys there, it was a good time. But we had a new hood to get back on the car..Never know what you will see us working on in the pits 😎
