The ol Vega gets a MUCH needed upgrade. I fart on camera, and we take Pearl for a spin.

Barn-Find 5000 rules
1. Find/use a car/truck that has been discarded (whether in a field, barn, junkyard, etc…) and is otherwise destined for the grave. Revive the car and keep it as original as possible, (use what you got). (Vice Grip Garage style).
2. These cars are not race cars. They should be slow (in theory). No tube chassis, back half, front half, or heavily modified/lightened cars will be permitted. We will do our best to stay true to the spirit of this race, which is to find a car, revive it, and race it “as is”. We are not building pro-mods.
3. Participants will be restricted to a $1,000 budget. This includes the purchase of your barn find, as well as your repairs and upgrades. You may use incidental stuff/parts you have laying around within reason. Cars WILL have working brakes and seatbelts. Safety equipment (roll cages, seatbelts, etc may be excluded from the $1k budget).
4. No turbos, superchargers, blowers, or other forced induction power adders will be permitted unless they are being retained as “stock” from the manufacturer, (ex- Buick Grand National). Nitrous will be permitted.
5. Trying to “skirt” the rules, cheating and “puppy kicking” will not be permitted. If you show up on race day with your dad’s 7.0 bracket car, you will be excluded. Documentation that your car fits the “Barn Find” parameters will be necessary, (photos, videos, etc).
6. A panel of at least three members of the race will look over the cars before buy in to confirm they fit the rules.
This competition is about FUN!!! Now go find you a ride and let’s race!!!
