I have a 91 s10 with th400 and 8.8 and a 5.3 with ss2 cam. springs .longtubes. holley intake and quick fuel 750 carb and a nx plate kit very basic setup on bald 275.s.on street I run 7.90 at 90 mph on motor and low 12.s that's with a shitty 1.9 60ft spinning my truck weights 3020 pounds with full tank and 3350 with driver and 150 pounds of sand in bed just to give u a idea I don't make much hp on motor mabey 330 to tire give or take alittle but on a 150 shot it's also a 10 second truck and that's with 3.73 gears leaving on footbrake..so I say gap rings alittle get some tr6 plugs throw some nitrous to it

  2. I think your Dad's truck is going to SLAUGHTER the S-10. Bus lengths. Turbo LS vs. non-turbo LS… there's not enough weigh reduction in the world you can do to the S-10 to make up for that difference in power. And your Dad's truck can LAUNCH, too, thanks to having 9000 pounds of concrete in the tailgate.

I hadn’t even seen a individual injector bung like that till your video but I do have a question about it since I’ve been seriously looking into doing the same thing and was wondering what pushed you to go with that setup rather than a spray type nozzle for meth/nitrous. It’s adjustable with flowing or jetting and it doesn’t need an injector or wiring and its a little smaller, just wondering

  4. It's def obvious Jack's gonna gap the s10, unless you put a turbo, blower orr what about like a 150-200shot on the s10. You have that stuff around, could be fun.
    The s10 will run 12s easy, carport drag racing put a junkyard 5.3 in his Fbody with a cam/headers and ran 12.20s at prob 3500lbs with driver. Granted he has a locker and rear gear but still 500lbs heavier.

  5. Yeah that would be cool to see that race but Jack has a huge advantage in many ways, it'd be like if Mike Tyson fought in infant! But if the dime a dozens engine was built and had a locker or something in the rear, or better gears, a turbo and or supercharger I give the win to dime a dozen, oh and of course the trans setup you'd want a trans brake in it. Personally I wouldn't sink too much time and money in it if your not in love with the truck! Other wise it's kind of a waste, just send it and sink the money in the 55 or the skylark or both

  6. Nah man. Dime a dozen needs a natty nitrous kit. Single fogger nozzle welded to the intake tract ahead of the throttle body. 200 shot. Live for freedom! Go wild! It'll hold!

  7. All for trying but E85 in the charge tube isn't very effective. Butler performance did the same with straight methanol. (also used meth as base fuel) and picked up zero power spraying 4 2200 CC injs in the charge piping VS spraying it all at the rails. It also puts a flammable air fuel ratio in the pipes. So if you have a back fire thru the TB, it explodes. Spraying meth when you have a different base fuel (like E85) would be more effective. And spraying the meth pre turbo is where you pickup the most as it increases the eff. of the turbo as it compresses. You don't get that spraying at the TB.

  8. If you want to keep the low buck aspect on the s10 you could go nitrous you can get those kits pretty cheap but would definitely love to see it hell if I knew when it was I'd drive down there to watch it

  9. 7:27 I saw the battery in the trash can. I recently learned you can take any car battery core to O’Reily’s and get $10 in store credit per battery. Doesn’t have to be their brand. Free money for those who don’t know!
