Time to make the announcement on our ice race event scheduled Jan 21st for Tip Up Town USA …
Unfortunately we had to make the tough call to call off the Tip Up Town SXS Grudge Racing 2023 I’d Brap That Event. It’s a real bummer but we only have 5-6″ of good clear ice and we will not put on an ice event without a minimum of 12″ of ice.
We hope you still come to enjoy the festivities during the event. There’s still ice to fish on Houghton Lake just not the levels we usually have this time of year. We know it’s disappointing, it is for us too, but it’s already a risky race on its own and we have to think of safety before everything else.
Please follow www.HoughtonLakeIceRaces.com to keep up with status on all other ice events in the area for 2023 season. We will update as we find out more. As of now all other scheduled ice race events on Houghton Lake are ON!
Talked with DNR today permits are going smooth for the I’d Brap That SXS Auto Cross Ice Races 2023 Houghton Lake so see you Feb 18th!
