Hey guys!
First, you asked for a longer video and I’ve come to deliver. I had to choose how to use all of my GoPro footage from the weekend, and I decided that the best way to give you the co-driver experience that I got was to give you one complete like on the 4.5 mile GP course at Glen Helen. This is section of unedited and there is no music, but it’s worth the watch in my opinion!
I just have to say a HUGE thank you to the VETERANS RACING ALLIANCE for getting in touch with me and getting me into a Class 11 car this last weekend. It was like a childhood dream come true! Being a disabled veteran has finally paid off! LOL.
I also have to say thanks to the driver of 1145, Josh Felix, for taking a tired car out and pushing it as much as he could to help get me that experience. Amazing driving from an equally amazing person.
Class 11 was exactly what I thought it would be, and that is only a problem because now I want to get another stock vw and start this whole process over! hahaha.
I added this to the ROKBUGY playlist only because this is actually what this project started out as! I’m looking forward to getting back out to a short course or desert course in the future to learn more about the class, the different ways people build their cars, and how/where I’m going to jump into it.

This made me miss my Baja Bug. They are so much fun. From the get go sounded like you where having transmission problems or he wasn't down shifting fast enough.Now we know it was the tranny.The go pro was picking up the motor sound real well. every time you hit the hill I was saying down shift keep those rpms up to keep the bug moving. But you just heard the motor lug. You also could hear when you jumped to, you hit hard. Great video. add a couple more cams on the outside next time.
Thank you for a longer video, Jarrett, I enjoyed it very much. Class 11 is such an awesome class and would be fun competing in it. Car 1121 was giving you guys a run for your money, but when he went high in the on turn, I was like it's a perfect time to pass them . Thats a shame your transmission lost second gear and I think that the last lap for you and car 1121 would have been awesome. Take care sir and I will catch you guys on your next video. Dave
