Well, if this scenario holds true about Monza’s, Ryan Martin should be getting a fat pay raise
It shows why it is so important to win! I think all the slow teams got pay cuts.
It's like this monza was just there to steal a check. He would show up and make a pass and say it's best bet if I just go home and work on my car. He is shit his program is shit. I can see why pilgarm went the way they did, it's people like monza that is there just to claim a check. He has been a non factor in npk and if any of you say differently your just as dumb as the rest.
It boils down to money, if he's not pulling his share then it will affect his earnings. It's brutal…
….and this is how the beginning of it all gets divided…..big money. A thousand excuses as to why….but the truth is the beginning of it all and why we watched, is being divided. SAD !!!
Monza waited too long. He snoozed and he lost. He should have been hiring a tuner and crew guys a long time ago. I understand that it cost a lot of money that some of these racers don't have, but now he really doesn't have it because he waited too long. Obviously he needs to sacrifice a little bit more so he had those guys and he probably wouldn't be getting a pay cut. He'd be probably getting her pay raise because he'd spend more time with the fans. He would sell more merch. He would sign more merch. This is a TV show and if you're not helping the TV show draw more fans in. They're not going to want you on it. You could be the fastest racer there, but if you're driving fans away because you're not making time for him, they're going to get rid of you. The TV show comes first

Because of Monza. I think they're doing him shity. The only reason he hasn't been competitive is the car. They should have gave him a year to prove himself.
My main goal here is to see NPK become it's own sanctioning body after the show.
Great explanation! Chief used to talk about how fans would get upset when thrashing for finals would get mad if wasn't shaking babies and kissing hands. Instead of getting car ready to win.
I wonder if the draft has a part to play in their pay, drafted vs undrafted as the drafted drivers will be seen more on the show this year, it sucks because Monza is an og but I also wonder if the draft has to do with trying to get away from the 3 hour shows. Since someone cough Sim cough complained so much about that! LOL
The thing that bothers me is that pilgrim KNEW monza was working his a$$ off getting the new car and program together well before they lowballed him. It feels like a deliberate slap in the face.

Tried to talk to him in darlington when him and Brandon were just sitting on their ass. Not busy at all…not having the money that other racers have doesn’t excuse you from being a butthole. Without the fans- he wouldn’t be where he is today…
This first and foremost a TV show. No personality gets you less $$$ and his son is a VERY large factor in that.
They have to have class fillers.. everybody can’t get paid big money to run the season. Too many rich people that will show up for little to no money regardless. They are paying the most popular guys the big money and the rest is what it is. If you don’t like it there is a line of people waiting to take your spot..

Not watching anymore. Not street outlaws, just a bunch of track racers making money on the TV show. Y’all sold out to:the media which is understandable because you can’t really race against the fastest cars in another venue.
Idk why big chief won’t race the crow in mega cash days or NPK he doesn’t need to be on the show full time to race anyone can race. I just don’t get it Cadillac jack is not entertaining eather is Jackie.
Monza fucked up he had the same opportunity as everyone else in street outlaws. All those guys were blue collar workers when it started and they all blew up. They’re all rich you can see it in their huge garage all full of race cars and muscle cars they are all rich. That the original outlaws. So eather moza blew his money or didn’t give a shit and blew people off he shouldn’t have.

I like Monza, but it wasn't until very recently that he started taking things like MARKETING seriously and had a friend/family member run film/edit his YouTube videos. But even then, he didnt create enough compelling content. For instance, he and Brandon his son went to ProCharger HQ and filmed their tour of the facilities. They took that footage and stretched it into four episodes at around 10-15 minutes each. Just make it one long form video like anyone else would. I think that is an example of questionable decisions he has made overall about his program, in addition to making them too late to have a net positive effect on outcomes. He was consistently uploading content somewhat the past few months, but it was still a trickle compared to many other drivers.
Manza is not A top driver because he. Doesn't win..
Not for nothing. Monza and the other 10 OG 405 guys made Street Outlaws to what it is. There would be no NPK if it wasnt for him and 405. End of story

Monza deserved a pay cut. He was getting paid enough this whole time to get help but he didn't he pocketed it and wasn't all in. All the money he saved over the yrs not hiring help should be plenty to hire guys this season. If monza spent the money this yr and took the paycut he might get back to what he was getting before. Brandon or some young guy should be running his social media. It is a show 1st racing 2nd monza needs to understand. I like monza a lot but he did this to himself
when I met Monza he was telling this stupid b they are 50,000 people here he cant please them all I was having problems with her too because youngblood was talking to me and Monza walked up I was telling her to shut up yelling at Monza and we both had a agreement she was stupid . I think Disco dean said it the best add the team draft if you can't win the show you have to be the show that doesn't mean everyone's character has to be the same but you need to have some sort of charisma or different personality to be a character. This is a TV show first. And it's about no prep drag racing. The people like Ryan, Martin, Kye Kelly ,Shawn Ellington, justin, Swanston pretty much all the team leaders have something to bring to the show. I think you gonna see a lot more people drop off because I don't think this is for everyone, from what I can see of it. It's a pressure cooker environment. And the cost of running NPK is going to send guys broke you just watch
It's just like any other business, you've got to invest and grow the business in order to make more money…… Monza even said in one of his videos that his t-shirt and merch don't add up to much…… And when you look at other racers using merch sales to help fund their racing which is also indicative of popularity and fan draw. So IMO if Monza wants a bigger piece of the pie like apparently he had, he's got to come off thr hip and hire more help (crew, merch sales, media creator, ect) which should translate into more popularity and therfore a bigger piece of pie. I've never met Monza and I don't k ow him, (he's like me) old school, not social media savy and a bit dry. I know when I watch his videos, other than for information I'm bored. And usually end up moving onto something else once I get the gist of the video or the information and I move on….. Unlike some who are entertaining, having what appears to be profitable merch sales and running the full season and pretty competitive. I'm afraid that if Monza doesn't change with the times and keep up that he'll be left behind on the streets. Yes it's a double edged sword you've got to spend money to make money, but it's what you have to do if you want to keep doing what you want too…. Just my opinion.

Monza is a good guy and he has a beautiful car and he is one of my favorites. But I can take my emotions out and admit he sucks at drag racing and this is not my opinion this is just the truth and there is hundreds and hundreds of hours of video evidence guaranteeing this. When it comes to drag racing he sucks and he is not worth a lot of money and he can only blame himself no matter what. Every single TV show that lasted a good amount of time has eventually started firing the weaker people or the problem people no matter what.
