Imagine how many events you could win if you actually maintained your motor, realized there is a life cycle to aluminum rods, and didn't waste passes for b.s. world records by yourself on a dragstrip tearing up your engine. Lol
There's a lot of money down the drain there bubba when you hit it and you knew something was wrong it didn't sound right you should have got out of it and it probably wouldn't slugma rods through the block if you would let out
I think there’s this huge misconception that aluminum rods last a long time and they don’t they have a fatigue point and once they reach that fatigue point it’s catastrophic failure with no signs I’m assuming you hit that point ! I highly recommend you look into getting titanium rods. That is what I’m doing. You can order them from Crower. If you get 12 or more. And as far as I’m concerned, titanium is lighter than aluminum and has no fatigue point
Don’t beat yourself up to much Kyle! You will bounce back with a new engine for the MR2 and be back on the road in no time! Maybe there is some better options for connecting rods out there? Also I wonder how many heat cycles those aluminum rods your using are good for?
I seen it in your eyes Kyle it could have been a lot worse if you took it down the track

Did you forget to torque the rod bolts again?
Time to plan on a spare short block
R.i.p rod.
Billet k needs billet dry sump
@1:36 should have gone through the stop sign then taken a left and throw down a burnout in front of my house!

Same thing happens to me (7.40min) at The Reunion event at Bradenton Motorsports and I threw a rod.
Time to go billet block, titanium rotating assembly. Shit or get off the pot bro.

I love Jamie's Page Cainted!!! Looks good Jamie and sounds like a new Honda piece. Noice Kyle.
I like how Leo from sxs blogs let him cut in front then just oiled the track
Every event the night before on my boys cars took apart the oil pan and checked bearings and bottom end last 3 yrs before sold
But shit happens
I hope brents selling that , id hit that, tee shirt… ❤
ayyy bringing back the "got the page cainted" haha throwback 4:04
How do you get away without having an ocd or an engine diaper for safety and respect to the track personnel and other racers
All that money into those trucks and they can barely get out of a damp field
This is what happens when you don’t properly maintain aluminum rods.
Race that shit box home to ya shed
Brent did those tires right huh????
