All drivers were ok thanks to their safety equipment and the track staff.

Who ever is racing at the "track" that is bare dust covered asphalt in like 4 of the videos is pretty optimistic trying to hook anything over 400 hp.
and the first clip is why i love firebirds, you can damn near fold them in half (and i almost did when crashing 60+mph into a drainage ditch that was 10ft wide and like 6 ft deep) and still drivable and will keep you safe, yes i know there is a cage and other stiffening components but the ole birds are hard to put down, on accident at least
Do they do tech at this track? Many of the crashes were equipment failures (wheel studs, no C clip eliminators, stock axles) or missing equipment like engine diapers. The biggest of course being that never lift bravado.
Ive always been a Ford guy, but when I see a fox body on the line I think, oops, heres another CRASH body Ford. One of the worst cars for drag racing.
Too bad you were NOT there for the Top Fuel revolution when Garlits last front engine car was cut in TWO or the day Funny Cars were redesigned for safety when Force got out of the hospital. Nice videos but NOT "The most insane" or even close. Shirley's blower explosion that made her move to TF & World Championships.. Would have love to have seen a video of Willy sideways at Lions with the throttle still wide open. Thankfully the sport has become safer as it matured.

All those mustangs running too skinny a tire in the front. Front ends getting to light at high speed skinny tire become useless when that front end lifts.
If I was driving a ugly ass Honda I would be running not bowing to the crowd.

Alot of these cars were poorly built.
I love how the people in here after the crashes start screaming and/or running down the track. Like it is gonna make any difference or they're faster than a truck or quad to get there

I'm 63 and a street racer I'm appalled about these frame failures. You get these people that go to Cooters garage for some welding. I've owned several cars. Even to this day people still ask about my 1972 Lincoln Town Coupe in 2024. My last Hoorah is a 1957 Ford 300. A sleeper. About 2100hp. I'm naming her The Night Creeper.❤️

Why anyone that’s been around drag racing long enough to pick out, find, spend time and money on a short wheel based foxbody, after watching too many to count, video after video and even witnessing in person that the foxbody mustang is uncontrollable, and it is not if but, when you’re going to hit the wall. Or with room do a 360 spin. Even across the country state troopers finally gave up on them as pursuit vehicles on the interstates, as they continued to have them swap ends during high speed chases. Now 72 yrs old I’ve scratched my head wondering why people don’t think through these things saving them a lot of money and headaches.

STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES
How many of these are at no prep events? I understand trying to make it close to street racing, but there was a time when really fast street cars ran 11s. 7 second cars shouldn't be running on an unprepped track. And how long before a starter standing between the lanes gets run over? We saw some here where if the car crashed the other direction the starter would be toast.
