What started as a clutch complaint turned into the creation of the world’s first true supercar — the legendary Lamborghini Miura.

Secretly developed by young engineers including Gian Paolo Dallara and Paolo Stanzani, the Miura introduced a radical mid-engine layout inspired by race cars — something Ferrari himself once dismissed.

Unveiled at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, the Miura shocked the world and forced every front-engine sports car into instant obsolescence.
