The Father & Son Team Doing Awesome Custom Ford Coyote Engine Builds

On this episode of the Rottler Featured Series we’re in Boynton Beach, Florida to meet Timothy and Tyler Eichhorn, the father & son team at @MPRRacingEngines , a shop specializing in amazing Ford Modular engine builds.

MPR is a full-service machine shop so if it’s got pistons in it, they’ll can build it. But their real love are the Ford Modular engines like the GT500, and, of course the Ford Coyote.

Owner Timothy got his start street racing Ford Mustangs, but these days his customers run the gamut from classic racers to grudge and drag and drive matches. He loves to go fast, and he loves to help other people go fast too.

One of MPR’s secrets to success is its suite of Rottler CNC machinery. Like other top-quality shops, MPR has an F69 engine machining center and an H85AX automatic hone. They’ve also got a Rottler surfacer, a seat & guide machine, and a valve-refacer, so everything that comes out of their facility is the best it can be.

Talking to son Tyler, who is also the head machinist at MPR, he loves his Rottler equipment’s ability to speed decking a block, line boring, sleeving, and porting with microscopic precision and accuracy. His favorites though is 12mm stud conversions on the Coyotes. They used to take him a full day by hand, but now it’s a mere 20 minutes!

The team at MPR Racing Engines prides itself on giving their customers engines that win races, and we at Rottler couldn’t be prouder to help them do it.
