It is all about control…they do not want you to have control of your decisions about the car you supposedly own. They the government will decide for you. Very simple to see, not sure why people are having a hard time grasping this.
It takes roughly 4 gallons of gas (if converted to electricity with no loss) to push an EV truck 300 miles. It takes an ICE truck roughly 15 gallons of gas to do the same 300 miles.
In regards to modern racing from the factory I believe you are correct it's a dying breed but to be devil's advocate it happened before and out of that hot roders were born
As hard as all of the influencers are pushing this thing, it looks like it's going to be a colossal disappointment. When have you ever seen a car that's 2 model years out pushed THIS hard? The 2024 Mustang GT is going to be the 1996 Mustang GT revisited. Faster obviously, but more recent models/variants are far more desirable. And dramatically less expensive.
