Studebaker Champion Parked 47 Years – Will it RUN AND DRIVE?

This forgotten Classic Studebaker was found on a farm in a barn looking garage. It has been parked for almost 50 years! Rather than leave it abandoned, Let’s see if we can get this vintage car running and driving again!

  1. max i.q of 80 required for your viewing pleasure. If you're above average or an actual wrench turner save you hour and forty eight minutes for something more productive.

  2. Awesome video, I would love to see you clean it up, polish the paint job, and restore the interior and turn it into a daily runner. A lot of folks would love to get such an awesome car fixed up original.

  3. Love the show, been watching you for a few years. Absolutely no disrespect or anything like that, but just curious. Why do all these revivals then just leave them in a field? Couldn’t you sell most of them?

  4. I think the old girl deserves a nice clean up, she can be a real weekend cruiser after a brake job and an interior cleanup. I say do all that, enjoy her for a bit, and when its time to let her go, sell her to someone who could really appreciate such an original car.

  5. HELP ME UNDERSTAND how to increase the value of this for resale. ROI vs time vested. Cost making it worth it or just barely breaking even on the things you suggested. Clean polish, interior, etc..

  6. Great thermostat. I got one after looking at reviews & HomeKit compatible. Got a big entertainment rebate too upgrade which made it really affordable. You could have got a Vevore electric trailer jack for $100. Ya I know you need a battery box to mount. Then add a winch also since you have power now. Finally add a small solar panel to keep it all charged. Need to get a tankless water heater by Rinnai. Hope your shoe gets fixed soon. A lot of work to bring your house into the 22nd Century.

  7. There is no way I could afford that beautiful car as the lone breadwinner to support my family affected by bidenomics. Beautiful car though! Thank you for the content. I cant wait to see what happens next with the Studebaker.

  8. If my uncle wasn't 96 he more than likely would've love to rebuild it to factory. He did many over the years and I believe the last one was a 46 Merc.couple. I know he helped my other uncle do a 25 Chev.

  9. Of all your cars. She’s a keeper. Fix her up and runner down to that run down bar you were talking about. What better car for a relaxing afternoon cruise and a stop for a cold snack. Just to keep things in perspective. Know what I mean? Wish I lived near you . I would be begging you for her. She’s just a little older than I am.

  10. I'd say this is an ideal candidate for the best Vice Grip restoration you can do! Go all out, and make it as beautiful as you can on a budget. Then you can decide if you want to offer it for sale back to the original family. If they don't want it, put it up for auction as it is a great candidate for a full on high end restoration. I am 70, and still have the 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe which is the first car my parents ever bought brand new off the showroom floor. Been sitting since 1971. It is an original New Mexico car, but has been mouse eaten so badly it needs a complete budget restoration.

  11. Part 2. spruce this Jem up. Then drive it to my house. 😉 jk. But if you do sell it I would like to know where to look for purchasing any of your vehicles.

  12. I'd love to see a series where you and a bunch of other youtubers pass around a car and fix one thing on it and add one detail to it, then pass it to the next person. Each one of you guys could make a video about it.

  13. One thing you did mention, that's a pre unleaded engine. Ethanol will destroy any seals and the valve seats relied on lead in the gasoline for proper seating. Did you use a lead additive and just not mention it?
