I feel bad for Justin and big country. Justins car has some serious damage but atleast he was ok. I hope his car can be saved but it will cost a house to fix all the damages. Hard to say if Dave was at fault because his car just shot left but why didn’t he stop his car sooner when Justin first caught fire. When Dave plowed him into the wall, that’s what caused the fuel cell to burst.
With the race track conditions and more than a couple other mishaps, also from the right lane, this entire event should be cancelled and an honest, yeah honest, investigation into why they were racing on an very apparent track with also a very under staffed safety support team. The racers need to put their foot down now.
It's hard to tell from the videos of the crash, but it looks like Dave hit the brakes before his car darted left. No I'm not blaming anyone, but he may have had a brake issue. Glad they are both okay.
My opinion and my opion only is that from prior experience in drag cars, if you watch the other lane you are very likely to drift that direction. Justin even tapes blinders on the side of his helment in order not to do that. One of his major accidents in the past he contributed to do just that. It would be difficult to not look at your opponent ahead of you in a ball of fire, just saying.

the owner operator of this track should be fined and or fired for the snail like response of the safety crew,a good safety crew is paramount in drag racing for the safety of everyone and boy they really missed the mark,justin should be pissed!!!
I am not a Swanstrom fan, BUT I never want to see any racer crash, on fire or anything of the like. Big kudos to provide his front end to the first fan who could give him a $2 bill. He autographed it as well. The only other thing he could have dome was provide it to a charity auction. He did a nice thing for one of his fans. Well done Swanstrom!
