I entered my Tesla Model 3 Performance into the daily driver class at Street Outlaws No Prep Kings at Tucson Dragway. Initially they said they weren’t going to let me enter because “Tesla’s are like souped up cars.”. Eventually they changed their minds, I think it was because they only had 8 people sign up including me and another Tesla Model 3 Performance. The class consisted of two BMW sedans, a 700hp ZL1 Camaro, a Supercharged Camaro SS, an older Ford Ranger with a Bored Performance Motor, an SRT Jeep Cherokee and the 2022 Tesla Model 3 Performance.

That’s a notable difference between the two m3ps. Are the newer models just that much quicker on the top end?
No they are almost the same.
You on 20s still?
What model year is your Model 3 Performance? There are some battery differences between the original Model 3s and the 2022 cars.
The secondary battery is lighter on the new cars but that isn’t that much weight.
Were you preconditioning the battery? That can add 40+ HP from 60 mph to the end of the 1/4 mile. I have rolling dyno graphs that demonstrate that. SOC matters less than battery temperature.
Good races. I have a 2022 M3P with 10k miles on it.
Hey! Do you mind if I snag the clip of the SS Camaro? That’s my car ☺️
Hi i'm the daughter of the guy you raced at the very end in the tesla lmao! I'm so happy you and my dad raced, i honestly was scared he was going to lose but it was such a great race between you and my dad!!
Looks like a great time. Must have been fun having the Street Outlaws guys around.
Hello, brother. I'm getting into drag racing with my 2022 Tesla M3 performance. I am going to go this week. I was wondering about charging. Do you stop at a supercharger before you go drag racing?
