Hey guys! This week we’re getting stuck right into as many of these projects as we can! The 1972 Chrysler is leaking, and the Rover 3-Litre srill needs fitting, while the Citroen SM has made a puddle on the floor! Stephen has his Winter Beater truck on the road, and we are installing the rebuilt quarter panel on Jim’s 1956 Continental for the final time! Frankers has her boots on, so look out!
Thank you to everyone who ordered a 1960 Fury T-shirt, our best-selling shirt ever! Thanks for your patience; we sold a lot of them and it took a couple extra days to get them all printed. I am very happy to report that they are all in the mail! I am looking forward to getting mine, for sure!
Oh! I do not have a Telegram account or any bullshit contest going! Do not respond to any of these “contest winner” replies; they are a scam.

Working on two of my favourite cars at once, as a Citroen fan the XM takes top spot with the Rover a close second.
The approach to the engineering of both cars taken by their designers, becomes very clear once you try to repair them in their advanced years! Best of luck, from a -4 degrees Centigrade/24.8 degrees F UK, (I know peanuts for Canada) for the many jobs you have on hand!
I loved Tom telling Al how a Granada is too good to drive in the winter! Gold!
On a more serious note-why buy another car for a winter beater anyways when more than likely you're going to have to do a fair few fixes anyways? You've seen what the others have gone through, is it really a better choice than to use/fix what you've already got?
Thanks for another fun episode.
I wish I had a part of the energy that Frankers has. I know she might crash after all that running. Sadly, I have that part down pat.
Have a greay week, folks.
So glad to see the SM again! I'm about to overhaul my carbs as well. Engine rebuild is completed and seats have been redone. Technical stuff this year and paint next winter.
Anybody interested in acquiring a "classic" needs to follow the story of that Lincoln. If there was ever an example of Caveat Emptor then this is it. Again, automotive paleontology at its finest.
Glad Steve likes his truck. I recently did a frame up restoration of my 1997 Chevy Cheyenne, took 9 months to do but turned out great. I put in a interior out of a Yukon into it… Had to have the fancy bucket seats. Looking forward to the winter beater updates. Good job Steve. Maybe he can show us some updates that he does to improve fuel economy…
If you have a seventies Ford and it runs good DO NOT hook up any wires that are unconnected leave it alone! You start hookin' up shit and the son-of-a- bitch will quit running.
Another fun episode. I love how Frankers rides in a car sitting up tall like she is the navigator. Got my shirt. BTW, you have found a good merch. vendor, they have great communication, and the shirts always look good.
Busy week, and a bit of a bodywork technical session. Some great progress on the 3 key projects currently at the front of the queue. Each genuinely getting better with each update. Still lots to do, but it's all starting to take shape. Much to look forward to, hopefully the power at Jim's doesn't hamper the Continental moving on too much. Cheers guys
Thanks for the Saturday dose of CWM. That's a very tidy looking GMC that Agent 7899 has, I always thought those were a good looking truck and what a practical set of wheels for winter use, you just dont see many 25 year old trucks at this end of the country as they have mostly rotted away years ago from the salt.
Lol, On Coldwarmotors when they say "let's get inside" they don't mean the house
Frankers joy and zest for life is a lesson for all of us, delightful dog. Jumps straight up into the air and turns around, lol.
I'm digging the Space Balls vibe brother, now you just need to do the part where you're surrounded by Assholes! (as a riff on "the worst people in Western Canada"™) Love you guys, ya'll crack me up and teach me shit…thanks! BTW maybe do a scene with Dean from Space Balls where they scroll forward the video to "now"…..dude, the possibilies are endless!
Always happy to see Dean helping in a car and it NOT get worse.
I love the fender word it’s a wing !
Once upon a midnight dreary
While I pounded, weak and weary
On a fender, bent and broken
For words of thanks still left unspoken,
Came a tapping on my Rover door…
The hood, it's clear, twas plainly bowed
From auld repairs of dates unknowed.
We tapped and tacked til lights were dimmed
With panels flush and excess trimmed,
We filmed and flammed, but never flimmed
Til doors would close and gaps were slimmed.
"Beauty, eh?" Jim, he crowed.
While outside, it softly snowed.
And back inside the body shop
So quiet one might hear pins drop.
I asked the Rover couldst retouch its door
Then spoke the Rover, "Nevermore."
So I gathered mates from cars and bars
And picked up drumsticks and guitars
To sing of spiders, the ones from Mars.
Got my Fury shirt yesterday. It's great!
Too much stuff on that crazy French thing to go wrong, if you like a challenge it's a good candidate.
I come here for all the right reasons. I too will sit and look for three days before committing to welding that piece in. Keep it up and Merry Christmas.
Great Frankers Frolicking shots!
Great job! I really like Al's Grenada. The Rover is going to be a showpiece like the 60 Fury. I find the Citroen's confusing, mainly because I'm used to American and British cars. I love Miles' winterbeater and your Newport.
