Smart ForTwo 450 Suspension Overhaul – New Springs, Shock Absorbers And Top Mounts

Legends! Remember that time when my Smart ForTwo 450 went bang? I do … thankfully Dad was on hand to rebuild the entire engine. But we didn’t touch the suspension.

The series is on the Channel … But if you fancy more smart car woes … here it is.

After a recent video trying to diagnose gearbox faults … Dad noticed a knocking from the rear of the car and discovered the rear control arm bushes were totally broken. Dad also noticed that the front of the car sat very very low. We decided that new shock absorbers were needed.
