  1. Get rid of those drag radials and turbo put on some big 17×34.5 slicks and a Pro Charger then go have fun with the car. Turbos or for diesel’s and radials are for the street.

  2. Good on you @JohnDoc for saying something about the at home professional tuners!!! If you haven’t struggled in racing you ain’t trying hard enough!!! Keep at it and before long you’ll have that big database of info you need!!

  3. This may be a dumb reply. But hey trying to be helpful. I had an issue with my car not as fast as yours. Lol. Doing a buck. Would strike tires then unload immediately. I moved my center of car more toward rear and added a little weight in increments till it stayed down but would separate going down track. I’m sure you thought of it. I’m no pro just have a lot of struggle experience. Lol

  4. that video of your guys lifting that engine on the stand made me laugh. many years ago, a friend was selling a long block 289 with the converter and C4 attached. These two huge dudes show up, buy it and carry it to their car, one held it by the water pump and the other guy by the tailshaft. they walked it pretty easily about 50 feet. We were dying laughing how easy it was for them.

  5. There's nothing wrong with asking for help too get you going in the right direction, i know you say you're trying to learn but there is nothing wrong with having a teacher, I'm sure most of us have, idid and it was the best thing I ever did.

  6. Yes it is Garretts home track. And you can watch them replacing engines rear gears transmission etc. Trying to get the cars they build down the track. Leroy has had three or four engines upgraded everyhing just to go 6's in the quarter mile. That took them nearly 4 years to accomplish that feet.
So racing at these levels is incredible insane. So if your not racing at these levels then you probably should shut up with stupid comments… Unless you have a crap load of money to throw at it. And that still will never guarantee you success…

  7. Hey, john, long time, follower before golf vide LOL You're in the Carolina, so is Pete Harold YouTube name good at doing stuff. Who tunes Clueetu SMX El Camino would love to see him tune slick Rick.

  8. I just don’t get why people can’t understand how difficult this level of racing is. Hell, it’s tough to get my little 400hp old school Camaro hook up even with a simple setup of dual adjustable shocks and caltracs for God’s sake. Just ignore’ ‘em.

  9. Heck I just tried give credit since y’all aren’t relying on a Davis box to get down and thought you’d be faster than the guy using one and was told how stupid I am essentially by a couple people. I’m just trying to be positive! Trying to keep y’all pumped up! I wanna see y’all go out a bust some butt! They be getting serious, lol. Maybe they know more than me, idgas, good get em!

  10. Jimmy Taal's 240 has already had 5 lives. Living in FL he ought to have his hot track tune up down pat. Slick Rick is a monster. I see it as being on par with Tom Bailey's Camaros, although they are drag and drive. Slick RIck is going to win a lot of races once you get it sorted.

  11. Can I ask, how much boost are u leaving on. Cleetus and mullet are leaving around 7 to 9 pounds of boost. But if ur torque converter is to tight ur screwed at low power. Just putting it out there, u can hire a turner to help u, u know that right. U know Cleetus has a couple turner's that help him. U might have to use some that storm money to help.

  12. Hey man I know people probably give you a hard time, but one thing people have to understand is that you not only have a fast fast stuff but you have multiple fast fast stuff, when you running the e/t you guys are well on your way to going and have gone, it’s just a struggle bus that everyone is on from time to time. I’ve seen you test at darlington the last 5/10 times you where there and your program is working, not everyone can fly a tuner down every event to tune 5 of there cars in the event and still come up short, you are persistent and you can drive like nobody’s business you will be the man to beat here soon…. Big fan of yours and love all your hot rods
