Chase is a race is an equalizer for slow cars. They have to get some kind of handicap ♿️
For something like America's list there shouldn't be chase is a race because if your trying to see who the fastest is leave at the same time. It's taking away losing from a red light
chase is a race is a joke and so is the arm drop, JJ does all that because he's a hustler and that benefits his bottom line and that's winning bets.. if you can't race someone strait up then you shouldn't be lining up!

The Match and racers agree to the rules. Its on them. I prefer flashlight, however, I like the variety. I just don't like CIAR all the time. Its a Hustle you steal, not win. You don't WIN in chase is a race. NHRA does not hand out a W for Red Lights, right ? CAIR NOT !
If BOTH racers jump, fine, CIAR. If your on the light You Win. There , I fixed the ordeal.
The only way to make "chase is a race" feasible is to limit the amount of jumps. 3 jumps and you're out completely! I want to see even, undisputed winners. And NO JUMPS for the top 3 spots.
Seems to me a lot of them adopted it and make conversation about it in the show. Besides I have also seen how they racers are making bets on their own with the racer that jumps losing and paying the bet. It goes to the racers and their will to jump and their ability to handle not chasing the jumper.
Line them up like being at the "Christmas Tree". You red light, you're out. Simple.

All the racers are waging bets to leave on the light but it’s just a matter of time before a racer figured out that the spot is worth loosing $500 to make you opponent think your gonna leave clean and then jump early enough to make them chase
You might want to clarify Sim, most drivers don't like CIAR. It's pretty much only the "Memphis" hillbillys that like CIAR. That way they have a chance because they can red light legally. All the other racers want a straight up even start. Discovery wants it to create drama for ratings, period!!!! They need to get rid of it, it's not real racing!!!!
It makes for good TV/drama. As long as it does that…it's staying!

The fastest in America is not the fastest. Because it’s all a hustle. Now with this season you’re not racing Chief so you can’t say you’re the fastest. You didn’t race the Shocker so you didn’t do shit
The best thing I’ve seen is the drivers betting a substantial amount of money on the jump. If anyone jumps they pay $500-1000. It keeps the people who want to race and not hustle honest.
Memphis is the only team wanting to have it.

Chase's the races stupid naseby Head Up Racing so you can see who wins who has the fastest car not who can take off first and make somebody chase them that's not racing not unless you doing bracket racing
But just like this last time when Bobby and Ryan ran Bobby would have won if he would have took off because Ryan was spending all over the track but I thought Ryan was going to jump but we know who's smarter

I agree it's the Memphis racers who like chase is a race I don't believe they could compete with the other drivers if it was taken out. I'm personally loosing interest in watching the show because of chase is a race. Who the f is fastest and the better driver is what I want to see

I suspect that JJ and his crew would refuse to show up if there was no 'chase is a race' and they are too popular for the producers of the show to leave out. Should change the name to 'jump and the chump'…
You want to know why chase is a race is stupid? Because its virtually impossible to watch the light and the other car at the same time. Instead of guessing the light and leaving early (which is what every one of the Memphis racers do, it's their hustle), let's start having the light come on at irregular times (like pull the drivers in and wait 1-3 seconds) instead of doing it the same way every time. That way, the early leaves will have to guess too because if they leave early, the other driver that waited on the light will have a REAL opportunity to not leave. It's almost impossible to not leave the way its structured now which gives a huge distinct advantage ones that jump the light. This is the EXACT reason you'll never see any Memphis drivers near the top in No Prep Kings (which doesn't have the stupid chase is a race BS).
