Symbol is a turbo 6
87 wasn’t the first year of the GN. Even wasn’t the first year that was intercooled. 86 was intercooled, before that they weren’t intercooled. 84 was the first year of FI. Before that was carbureted regal turbo or TType
Vice grip garage has a 1986 Grand National that is a total pile !
I'm going to say 255.
Why you gotta be trashing on the guys that deliver your performance parts?
Love those 87 granny's…that one looks super clean…my pops bought 1 back in 87 ..he since passed and my brother now has it rotting away in his garage in florida..ive tired many times to buy it from him but he refuses to let it go

I had the 87 buick somerset T type. That thing was fast back in the day.
Back in the 80's a young guy that worked in a fab shop where I was at the time bought a Grand National brand new. He carried on about how bad the car was to the point we were tired of hearing about it. My coworker (Eddie Tanner) bought and restored old vehicle's on the side at home. Eddie drove a old 304 V8 4 speed CJ 5 Jeep to work the following Friday. We all left to cash our paychecks at lunchtime and by chance we ended up side by side at a traffic light with the young Grand National guy. Eddie told the young man to hit it when the light changed. I swear that old CJ 5 went air born when Eddie popped the clutch. I was holding on to the grab bar (NO SEAT BELT'S) and saw the highway through the rusted out floorboard then looked up to see the speedometer buried. I turned my head looking back and we left the Grand National like it was stuck in the mud. I then proceeded to yelling "back out of it Eddie you got him"!!!!
Just thought I'd share that with you guy's. They are nice cars but avoid those old V8 Jeeps, so you can keep your chin up. LOL
Welcome to the Buick community Also turbo regals started in 1978
1985 dodge charger(omni) turbo. I would race mustang gt fox bodies and actually beat them light to light. Now I have a 91 gmc Sonoma that goes.
8:13 How far are you gonna but that bottle in your mouth..? Yes
Don't forget 75, 76 Porsche turbo Carrera.
My friend was a Connecticut state trooper he said they ran the Grand Nationals as interceptors but they limited the top speed to 122 mph because of stability issues.
UPS takes years n years to be a driver.. Amazon could be the first day u get a license thats the problem
shit 3000 miles thats 150$k maybe 200$k

The first turbo charged American car was the Corvair turbo
Logo is a SIX "6" with Turbo Flow…
Connecticut state troopers used to have them for highway patrol
Hell…the 405 could hold a gn/regal car show….all of yall have them now lol
My friend has a 87 Grand National he is the original owner with 4k mils on it. And the Logo is a "turbo 6'
I say 275 hp and 200 at wheel
The gta trans am was also running this same engine, it was good days back then.
The police used to drive these when I was a kid. Beautiful ride.
ecoboost swap it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxxJFmF9c2w but really don't not on this one way too clean. But it would be cool to see and 850 plus hp ecoboost with a 10 speed in g body or fox body
I would be the same way, I have a low mileage 1986 Monte Carlo SS, mirror black.
On dyno, my guess is 190hp.
1979 Mustang turbo. 1979 Monte Carlo turbo .1979 Buick Regal. First ones I remember.
Get you a 89 turbo trans am. Way faster
