Roll racing in a Nissan March

A couple of weeks after running a 10.36 at 138MPH we are back at Meremere again for roll racing.

Essentially the right hand lane sets the pace at 40 – 50kph, the left hand lane tries to match but not pass the right hand lane, the lights go green and it’s all on, first to the finish wins.

There’s some debate on how our last race went down, it certainly looked like a dodgy start from in the car and from various videos around, I believe the end result would have been the same anyway but it deff looks like the Mitsi was well into it before the green light.
Hard to pick from the RHS of the track where the officials were but video from the left it looks sketchy for sure. Mind you maybe that’s a demonstration of drag slicks Vs semi slick circuit tyres in cold temps???
Interesting how the lense on the incar Gopro amplifies the apparent lead, I didn’t remember it being that bad and trackside footage shows it wasn’t a thrashing, the incar makes it look pretty terrible though LOL!!!!

Headlights are now wired up in preparation for the upcoming round in May, it’s possible there may be some tactics deployed to help us next time (insert quiet evil laughing here).

Thanks to Premier Events for running the event and the crew at Meremere, also Kaz and Ben for the footage – and anyone else if I’ve forgotten someone?
