Road-Tripping My 800HP Sleeper To Attempt A 10 Second 1/4 Mile…

Today we road trip the Sleeper Volvo 240 Wagon over 1000 miles down to Bradenton Florida (Bradenton Motorsports Park) and Orlando Florida (Orlando Speed World) to attempt to run a 10 second quarter mile and beat my friend Boosted John. Will the 800HP Turbo LS be able to do it?

  1. You shouldn't feel too bad about the shifting bro. Kyle from boostedboiz uses like super built really nice transmissions and still misses 3rd every now and then

  2. Just replace the transmission. You've spent more money chasing shit around it at this point. Either get rid of the manual which is the better solution, or buy a new T56 Magnum from Tremec for 3200.

  3. Glad to see I’m not the only one thinking “auto trans!” I was a manual purist for a while, but once I found out how much easier it is to use an auto for drag racing, I think they’re underrated

  4. You need a bias ply tire like Quick Time Pros to help grip and nit break stuff like a radial will. Need a driver mod lol I don't think trying to no lift speed shift is helping. The car has to rebuild boost anyways its not that much faster to not lift off the gas

  5. As a fellow stick shift racer that has experience with drag racing faster cars…. I can confidently say that SOME of your issues is your shifting. One instance i saw you try to bang 3rd before your foot fully depressed the clutch. Your 1-2 footwork is money! A t56 magnum is the move for sure. That'd def help. I usually practice in staging lanes as if I'm racing, and also make a habit to record my shifting and pedal movements during the run. Anyways, don't take this as overly critical. Hope you have better luck and more importantly fun

  6. Not to be a hater but your trying to make power and have great times in a car that isn’t meant to do it. I got nothing but love for this channel but you live and you learn. Keep your head up and move on to the next build. That’s the best part of being a gear head. But you are doing great things and tbh I always thought of this Volvo to be a drifty boy but banging gears down the stripe is cool to.
