RESCUED! We Found the Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Prototype in the Arctic Circle – EP. 15

The Lamborghini Diablo SE30 is one of Lamborghini’s most iconic supercars and my personal favorite! I’ve known the whereabouts of this SE30 Prototipo for a few years now, but the owner did not want to part ways with it. With the car being located in the Swedish Arctic Circle, it wasn’t particularly easy to go see or negotiate, but it was a car that we had to have in order to restore it and tell its history. Thankfully, we were able to overcome offers from the likes of Swedish hero, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and the car is now in Miami! Our preservation restoration is underway, and our investigation of the car’s past is well underway. Stay tuned for more on the Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Sweden car!

  1. These are hands down the best super car find stories on YouTube. You can’t replicate John and his fathers passion. It’s incredible! Respect from Philadelphia

  2. I am from that area and I'm quite "surprised". This must be clever guys, how come they drive for 15 hours when there's an airport in Gällivare? Arrive to Sweden at Arlanda, Stockholm, walk over to the national terminal and take a plane to Gällivare would make far more sense.

  3. I live in Gällivare, where this car was "found". To me, it was never lost to begin with. This car has been around where I live for over 20 years. I've seen it out on town, I''ve driven past it, I've seen it on several local car shows and spoken to Loffe(The previous owner) many times. And I have sat in it. I knew it was special, but to be honest, I never knew it was THAT special.

  4. I think Zlatan wanted to buy this actual car. When his agent started to bargain with the owner the deal was declined. However, had Zlatan himself made the call instead of the agent, he would have got the deal.

It's good that the deal didn't go through, now we get to see it and it's history unfold 🙂 Beautiful car!

  5. Another absolute stunning chapter of automotive art. The guys at Curated are the only people that could have done this car and it’s story the justice it deserves.

  6. You guys ripped the nice guy off! You gave him aprox 900k dollors for it when you knew the car was worth 5 million. You guys are a piece of shit to be honest

  7. After watching this episode of this amazing diablo prototype I took a look at my vintage Ducati 996 and noticed it had same gas cap as the prototype Diablo I guess Lamborghini borrowed it from Ducati

  8. hope you didn't rip off the guy who owned that car and payed a VERY good and generous price for him!!

ps: also would be nice to hear the story how and why the car ended up in the north of Sweden…

  9. the first time I saw a Lamborghini was this car. It was driven by a guy in my home town of Gävle, Sweden. It was back in 1994-1996

apparently he bought the car in England from a racing driver. who had received the car as a gift from Lamborghini. The payment was a mercedes s600 and 10000-20000$

  10. Interesting to know how it got into the hands of a swedish hillbilly , up there in Gällivare its winter from october to end of may , so who or Why would one have a lambo up there in redneck country ??

  11. Jesus John, quit tapping everything. The video isn’t showing your hand knocking on everything so all you hear is you tapping away which is annoying.

  12. This!!! More of this! Best video ever and we need more just like it.
Love the car and the restoration is awesome to watch. Diablos are incredible

  13. The owner in Sweden got eleven millions swedish crowns for the car, around one million thirty-eight thousand USD. He traded in a Ferrari Testarossa and bought this car back in 2002-05-31 for one million Swedish crowns from a company called Ross AB. The car was owned by a private owner who owned it from 2001-07-04. Probably he's the one who imported the car which was first registered outside of Sweden in 1994-01-01 according to records. Zlatan had seen the car earlier in his career and was very interested but he didn't have the means then. According to the seller he declined an offer from Zlatan through an agent 8 years ago. Owner's asking price was 7 millions crowns at that time. He also added that he would have agreed on a price had Zlatan contacted him personally. He said that he even contemplated on giving away the car for free to Zlatan since he loves the game of football. A reporter's question and the owner's answer on not selling the car to Zlatan:
But it must have been difficult to turn down a bid from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, right?
    – Yes, damn it. It pains my heart every day. Especially when you knew it was his dream car.
