Im definitely not a know-it-all and really dont want to come off like one so this is just my opinion, but I personally don't like to remove any material from the pin bosses, the bottom of the pin boss is a high stress area as the piston crosses over TDC and changes direction. High rpm is literally trying to jerk the pin out from the bottom of the piston. It only really pertains to high rpm, heavier pistons, irregular rod angle, etc. It's always a pleasure to see folks building a gen one.
