  1. Dude! I'm halfway in and I am not sure I'm going to make it. Tell me you aren't about to spray paint on that grated cheese, please? They came all this way and you couldn't talk them into poly fill and sand?

  2. i have heard you say 100 times that you only got paid to paint and i understand that aspect of the job but you also said 100 times about the top of the drivers door grind marks well im sure it would not cost you more than 5/10 dollars to take a piece of 400 grit and scuff out the grind marks out of the silver dropcoat you sprayed and that alone would have saved you from talking about it 100 times do you understand that by doing this it would have made you feel better about the job as a whole and your customer would be much happier , you wouldnt have needed to spray extra coats of clear and risk running that , so when you took this job and bid it at 3k im sure you left yourself some wiggle room and this part would have fallen right into that space , nice work car looks pretty good considering

  3. Way too nice of a car to short cut paint.
Owner should have let you finish it out properly.
I've had a few of them over the years my brother had a 2 door wagon back in the 80s we painted bright red.

  4. A lot of painters don't want to mess with someone elses prep work, because you don't know what products they used, quality of work, and how it will react.
I had a guy spray a car I got ready, but I bought everything the paint shop recommended, quality stuff. I also helped tape the car, cleaned, and tack clothed the vehicle.
It was black so I spent a long time with the long block.
