The problem with going machine is that the number of different combinations of pads and polishes and compounds is mind blowing – then you need to buy a ton of pads so they don’t get dirty and you might have the wrong pad. Hand polishing just feels a little easier to get the hang of for a newbie like me

  2. No wonder I had a tough time hand polishing. I bought the black terry applicator sponges. Even watching this I was confused because it didn't look like the other rounded white pearl applicator. I ended up buying a straight up foam piece.

  3. Great live guys! Just curious as to why an iron remover wasn't part of todays demonstration? I generally maintain my daily driver on a regular basis and used Iron Buster before winter hit and was impressed at how much contamination was on the paint surface and this hood looked far more neglected, so would have that step provided any significant differences before the polishing?
