Back in the early to mid 2000's, Yamaha had a big white shift light in the middle of the tach/digital readout on the R6. That's something they obviously didn't keep around.
This bike isn’t built to be a straight line star….
Have you ever considered putting some winglets on a drag bike to keep the nose down? They even make some Rizmoa/Rimzoa mirrors that fold up INTO winglets when you don't need mirrors, and they look even cooler than block offs, IMO.
This yamaha is better on draggy races than suzuki gsxr1000 ?? with equal tune exhaust, ecu, lowered kit …??
Road race/drag race bike? Let's see how competitive that will be against people dedicated to those specialized events.
Love the channel. Can you do a ecu flash on my 22 mt10?
I love that you are building your bike the way you want it. That is the best way to build a bike or a car. Screw what others think when its your personal ride. Do what makes you happy.
Yes make it a monster.
Stretch it
Super excited about this build I know your throwing a turbo on it. can't wait
I think the R1 is really not made for straight line shenanigans. Definitely needs a lot of adjustments
I feel like you should be doing 3-4 passes with the draggy each time you test and take the average to use as your final numbers. A 4.3 to a 4.7 is a fairly good difference. I think 1-2 more passes would make for more reliable data to use for draggy times. Just a thought!
chris i run 16/43 on my stretched 2016 r1 try it out . its perfect for 50-170 or 50-180 rolls
i changed the rear sprocket on my r1 to 39 teth and its way better then before
That lif control is fire
Right on time for those lowering adjusters. I was searching the internet last night for a set. Brocks made a good product
Howto set suspension in R1M?
Jon @ BlackWidow has the worst customer service. He has a password set on my R1m ECU. The Yamaha dealership can't even get into it.
He just reads my messages. No reply.
Maybe Moore can crack into her..?
Get some carbon fibre wings to create downforce just like bmw did in new bikes same engine but wings nd new electronic making difference nd Ducati did wings also nd it's looks great
Any plans to stretch it? Loving this build.
i love how honest you are
Fuck it up Chris lower the bike lol I like going straight to.
The ultimate bike but I just don't get spending an extra $9000 on the M with Ohlins electronic suspension to just go in a straight line. Those wires look really odd sticking up with the forks raised like that. I would have bought the regular R1 and spent the money elsewhere. I might be missing something but it just seems to be kind of a waste of money.
R1m is phenomenal
What a shame. Wanta go straight, then buy an HD. : >
R1 or gen 3 ?
Looks nasty Lowered!!! Wow.
When lowering the rear end,I didn’t notice, did the chain tighten up..Did u have to readjust the chain
Wouldn't this risk bottoming out? You lose a huge amount of suspension travel. Say goodbye to your spine if you hit a big bump.
