In this video we tour Bill Little’s Engine and Speed shop.
You will see everything from a Ford 428 Cobra Jet, 383 and 440 Mopars and even an LS6 454 BBC and a 6.0LS
Bill has been building hotrod and race engines and transmissions for almost half a century and is responsible for many of the fastest cars in Southwestern Ontario.
Bill also sells engine and speed parts at very competitive prices. You find him on Google under Belmont Automotive.

I had a 350 sbc locked up the same way as that 383. I never could figure out why.
Hope bill has some help. He"s got alot of work!
Great video!! Thanks!!
I really enjoy listening to guys like Bill. His information on the 700r4 and the 200r4 was very informative its good to know there is a guy out there that can build a strong 200r4 transmission.
Another enjoyable video as always.
I always like to know what rings he likes to use on his builds
Sounds like Bill has enough work already for the rest of the year
That's really cool! That guy has his work cut out for him! I'm a FE guy so I'm interested in his 428 build.
Very good episode, like watching what people are doing with their engines.. Question, on the LS engines what are these guys doing to fix the crappy oiling system weak valve train and what about the cam bearings walking out of the bores in the block.. I have no confidence in LS engines durability.. I am replacing these engines all the time with bearing failures before 100,000 miles.. Seems like 1999 through 2001 are the best of the LS engines for durability see them with over 200,000 miles but not so much after that.
stickink a 90's grand Cherokee quick ratio in the 69 Goat , easy swap
shubeck ceramic lifters. they last forever.
A wealth of knowledge in this video
Alan, Thanks for the shop tour, Wow Bill has a lot of work and is very knowledgeable I could listen to him all day.
You should encourage Bill to start his own channel I think it would do very well.
So do you guys do the actual 'machining' on the Engine there ? or just the Assembly work ?
Thanks but I meant, Speed Pro, Hastings, Total Seal etc.
@goldsgarage8236 awesome video! Bill's knowledge should be shared with everyone. I know a couple of people that eat, breathe, and live this stuff at his level and it just amazes me. If these guys could just download their knowledge into the current generation as a starting point could you imagine the possibilities?
you never lack in work when the quality is there
He better work 24 hours a day to get all that work done at his age
Lock up converter with a carb needs a vac switch, a brake switch and a throttle switch.
Great video AG! Cool stuff!
Morning Alan and Bill. great video, real impressed with you Maple Leaf boys. Nice tour of the shop and extensive backstories to the hot rods Bill is working on . Brings back wonderful memories of my shop time in Sydney all those years ago. Cheers mates.
The man , the myth, the legend. Growing up just outside of Sparta in the 80's, my father and all of his friends had spoke of Bill Little. Since I was 12 he always vowed that Bill would be the only person to ever lay hands on his GTO and build the engine the car deserved. Having never met Bill back then, but listening to him now, he is exactly as described, incredibly knowledgable and kind, not afraid to discuss and share. Thank you Alan for introducing me to Bill, one of the few times in the life where the person lives up to the hype.
Thanks good stuff…..I could have fun turning wrenches around that Fella….❤
nothing cooler than a shop full of Chevy big blocks.
