Toronto Motorsports Park is proud to host the NHRA Yes Day on May 15th, a massive educational initiative designed to fuel the next generation of motorsports and trades professionals. We caught up with Jason Hardy at Motorama 2026 to discuss the incredible growth of this program, which brings students from across multiple school districts to Cayuga Dragway for a day of hands-on experience and high-speed action. After a successful event with 500 students last year, NHRA Yes Day is expected to draw between 500 and 750 students in 2026, marking a significant increase in interest from both schools and local businesses.
The NHRA Yes Day at TMP is more than just a field trip; it is an immersive look into the skilled trades and the technical world of professional drag racing. Students get the unique opportunity to speak directly with trades experts, explore various career paths, and experience the raw power of NHRA drag racing firsthand. For many of these kids, it is their first time ever visiting a racetrack, providing a critical opportunity to get new butts in the seats and introduce a younger demographic to the sport. With the full support of track management, including Uli and Jessica, the program has the green light to grow and continue making traction as a premier youth development event in Ontario.
